Stollhofen
Welcome!
editWelcome to Wikipedia, Stollhofen! I am Turian and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!
Also, I have removed the & for a second time on So You Think You Can Dance (season 5). If you feel they should be added, bring up a discussion on the talk page, otherwise they will all be reverted. The <br> are used to help format the table and have been used on all the seasons. Thanks.
SYTYCD Season 5
editHi Turien
Thanks for the welcome message. I've been a member for just over a year, but my edits have been that large and I've never written an article. I'm still "in the dark" about how to talk to other members, or how thinks work behind the scenes here at Wikipedia. I think I'm supposed to write on my page, and then you'll see it? Or should I've put this on your page?
For the SYTYCD Season 5 page, I had saw the formatting for Week 8 (July 29, 2009) where one of the rows was larger than the others because it had two names in it (Napoleon & Tabitha in the second row). I figured it would look more uniform if each choreographer "box" received the same spacing. Then again, it's a completely aesthetic edit I just happened to notice. I'll leave it alone.
Hope you're having a great weekend.
Your question at help desk
edit- I thought for sure there would be something in WP:MOS, but I don't see it. That said, I prefer the style in Burgess, but even there I would consider using a full citation with ISBN, to help people looking for the book.--SPhilbrickT 01:52, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
