Good Work

edit

Hi, as from my researches, I think the roots of "chai" comes from chinese and not from Hindi, though I am sure it has entered the english language from india and not from China.

Also, some of the words you have listed there are not again directly from hindi origin, like "khaki' or "peyjamé" (پيجامه) that are found in persian and subsequently Urdu. The word "Mughal" and its derivatives also come from "Mongol", or the Turkish verison of it "Moğol" that the Hindustani locals distorted into "Mugal" etc etc. but I also learnt many intesting things like "Juggernaut" or even more interesting, the "-ware" phoneme. (That also may be common to many Indo-European languages, but I still need to verify that!)

Cheers for your excellent work!
