Hello, Stuwdesigner, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as User:Stuwdesigner, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. Speedy deletion nomination of User:Stuwdesigner

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Stuwdesigner, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Writing about yourself

edit

You are welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, but it is not a social media site like Facebook or LinkedIn for people to write about themselves. It is a quite different sort of site, a project to build an encyclopedia, so it is selective about subjects for articles. Writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography.

Wikipedia user pages are not like those at social networking sites. Their use is explained at WP:NOTWEBHOST:

"Wikipedians have individual user pages, but they should be used primarily to present information relevant to work on the encyclopedia. Limited autobiographical information is allowed, but user pages do not serve as personal webpages, blogs, or repositories for large amounts of material irrelevant to collaborating on Wikipedia. If you want to post your résumé or make a personal webpage, please use one of the many free providers on the Internet or any hosting included with your Internet account. The focus of user pages should not be social networking or amusement, but rather providing a foundation for effective collaboration. Humorous pages that refer to Wikipedia in some way may be created in an appropriate namespace. Personal web pages are often speedily deleted."

You can find out more about Wikipedia at the WP:Welcome page and the WP:Introduction, as well as Wikipedia's plain and simple conflict of interest guide. Thanks. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:31, 11 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Contested deletion

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --83.218.145.50 (talk) 16:34, 11 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

it is factual and very similar to pages of my peers, including Marina Willer, Jerry Dior, Angus Hyland. The list could go on, so not sure why my article is different.

Your userpage is not an article, for the reasons explained above. If you meant to write an article, then you did so in the wrong place. The draft article space is the place where articles in progress can be built and then reviewed by a third party before publication.
Articles about people must meet Wikipedia's notability criteria to be accepted. The individual must have already been the subject of significant writings by multiple reliable third-party sources. Wikipedia readers expect factual articles written independently of their subject, neutrally worded and sourced reliably. What a person wants to say about themselves is of little interest here.
That is why we highly discourage individuals from writing about themselves. It is nearly impossible to be an objective judge of your own notability, and write neutrally about yourself using information taken only from third-party sources. If what you have done in your life is genuinely notable, meets our notability criteria and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will create an article about you eventually. Having a Wikipedia article should not be seen as a mark of pride, because you will never have any right of ownership or control over its content, should one be accepted.
It is also perilous to argue for the existence of an article based on the existence of other similar articles. The other articles you mentioned may be equally unsuitable for Wikipedia; with an entirely volunteer-based editor community and over 6 million articles, some unsuitable articles will slip past unnoticed. I will review the three that you mentioned; if any fail to meet the notability criteria or are promotional in tone, I will nominate them for deletion. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 17:43, 11 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 19:59, 11 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
