You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Sudhakar Arumugam requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the notability of the subject,  . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

See the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Mean as custard (talk) 15:29, 21 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Sudhakar Arumugam is not the appropriate place to post information about yourself, because it is in the part of Wikipedia where encyclopedic articles are written. A "userpage" at User:Sudhakar777mca, however, is available for personal information about yourself. When adding personal information please remember that Wikipedia is not a social network such as MySpace or Facebook. Your userpage is for anything that is compatible with the Wikipedia project. It is a mistake to think of it as a homepage: Wikipedia is not a blog, webspace provider, or social networking site. Please see Wikipedia:Introduction and Wikipedia:User page for more information. Advice about your article

edit

The "Welcome" paragraph above gives some useful links to tell you more about Wikipedia.

In answer to your question on my talk page: there are many sites like Facebook and LinkedIn and Myspace where people can write about themselves, but Wikipedia is not one of them: it is a project to build an encyclopedia, and that means being selective about article subjects. The criterion is called WP:Notability, and is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, Facebook, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones and anything based on press releases. The test is, have people unconnected with the subject thought it important enough to write substantial comment about? There is more detail at WP:Notability (people).

Even if someone is notable, writing an article about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia:Autobiography.

Your article just said where you lived, where you were educated, the clubs you joined, the job you got. An article like that could be written about anyone - I could write one about myself, but I am not notable and certainly do not expect to have an encyclopedia article about me.

The volunteers who are here to help build the encyclopedia each have a "user page" - yours is at User:Sudhakar777mca - which can be used, if they like, for some information about themselves to help communication within the project; but that is not intended for a full biography or CV, or any "substantial content... that is unrelated to Wikipedia" - see WP:UPNOT.

So, if you are here only because you want to write about yourself then sorry, Wikipedia is not the site you want. But if you would like to help with the encyclopedia project, welcome, see the links above for more information about how to contribute, and by all means put some brief information about yourself on your user page.
