Block message:
{{blocked proxy}} <!-- 116.66.194.33:8080 -->
- Blocking administrator: ProcseeBot (talk • blocks)
Decline reason: Sudip Regmi, I am declining to remove or review the block at this time because it has been confirmed there is an open proxy (at another address) that uses this address intermittently. However, I'm willing to grant an IP block exemption as long as you agree to never misuse it to edit through a blocked anonymizing proxy and you understand it will be removed once this proxy is no longer an issue. Thanks, — madman 14:30, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
{{unblock}}
- Do you have any particular reason to be editing Wikipedia behind an open proxy? (By the way, you're not directly blocked, so I've disabled the unblock template.) --Closedmouth (talk) 08:47, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
- This is not open proxy, this is shared IP that my ISP assigns me and maybe thousands of many more people in my city. As I can see this IP being used to comment in my local blogs and websites too by many people in my city. Can't my username be unblocked alone? I'm sorry I'm a bit noob about this issue.Sudip Regmi (talk) 09:19, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
- I have referred this block to Wikipedia:WikiProject on open proxies. I hope that this will be resolved soon, but you may have to be patient. JamesBWatson (talk) 21:11, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
- Actually I see that the case has already been referred there, and a proxy checker is looking into it but asked for further help from another one. JamesBWatson (talk) 21:14, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
- I used the CU tool to verify the complainant's recent contributions, and I checked the underlying proxy that is the subject of the OP thread. The problem here appears to be something odd with the ISP proxy, which is not this user's fault, so I've granted the IPBE permission. Sorry for the inconvenience, Sudip Regmi. IP block exempt
editI have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.
Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.
Note in particular that you are not permitted to use this newly-granted right to edit Wikipedia via anonymous proxies, or disruptively. If you do, or there is a serious concern of abuse, then the right may be removed by any administrator.
Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).
I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. AGK [•] 11:21, 7 February 2012 (UTC)
Edit war warning
editYour recent editing history at Liniment shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Disambiguation link notification for September 21
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sarangi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nepali (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
