Broken Announcement

SuggestBot is broken, again. The first and last suggestion I got from them was 6 days ago. Roasted (talk) 23:54, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for reporting this! I took a look and restarted it so one-time requests should work correctly, and I also checked our logs and saw that subscribers get them as they should. Trouble with request

I requested SuggestBot to suggest me articles yesterday by adding {{User:SuggestBot/suggest}} on my talk page but it hasn't suggested me any yet. GoldenBootWizard276 (talk) 18:03, 18 March 2024 (UTC)

Oh, well, 'automated' is perhaps overstating it a little. The page Wikipedia:Teahouse/Suggestions lets you 'create' the post on your talk page through a neat little interface. JackTheSecond (talk) 18:49, 19 March 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for reporting this @JackTheSecond and @GoldenBootWizard276! I’ve restarted the bot and it looks like both of you got a set of suggestions now. Idea - add to SuggestBot results Display

Greetings, Today I saw SuggestBot results on another user's Talk, so I did one for myself here. After seeing the results display, 1) I added the Date to section title. 2) Added the Requested at Wikipedia:Teahouse/Suggestions line, with link. 3) Added the two WPs that I had requested. Going forward it would be helpful, IMO, if the bot can provide these elements of the request back onto the display. Regards, JoeNMLC (talk) 15:09, 5 May 2024 (UTC)

@Zanahary: Thanks for reporting this, the bot was indeed not working and I’ve restarted it. I'll also keep an extra eye on it to see if it goes down again and investigate further if it does. Cheers, Nettrom (talk) 15:31, 22 May 2024 (UTC)

Bot down…again

Oh darn! Thanks for pinging me about this, @Mwwv! In this case the problem was me. The Cloud Services admins announced that they’d reboot the VMs, and I forgot to check up on the bot’s VM to make sure everything was running again after the reboot.
