- Thanks for your message, @Graham87. We're a German publishing house and sometimes editing articles about our authors (to create new articles on meaningful persons or to correct misleading contents).
- We registered officially with this username for the German Wikipedia: Wikipedia and I don't want to use your form "GlobalRenameRequest" as this would also change the (validated) username of our German account.
- It is only on very rare occasions that we edit English articles - how can we proceed in order not to alter the German account? Suhrkampverlag (talk) 12:30, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- Unfortunately usernames are global. shared accounts are not allowd and the English Wikipedia has a strong conflict of interest guideline. Either create another account for the English Wikipedia (wwith an explicit link to the German account) or ask for a global rename to be performed. Graham87 (talk) 12:38, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
