Simply due to the reason, that trivias aren't encouraged. Fit it into the text where applicable. Eg, you could talk about Gautham Menon's Hitchcock-esque appearnce in the "cast" section or in his own page. Universal Hero (talk) 18:04, 17 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

The follow on question on the wikipedia cricket quiz was a good one.Can you tell me How did you research for the question,do you have a database available somewhere ,or is that possible using cricinfo statsguru.? And PS: It is absolutely lovely to see a cricket fan from France..I am amazed as to how you have gotten interested in the game. My Mail id is <wikipedia user name > AT gmail.com Sumant81 (talk) 10:29, 7 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

For the question, I simply used statsguru. I looked at the batting statistics with the advanced filter. Then, as there is no "follow on" field to choose, there's a little trick: I choose "fielding first" and "third innings", so that I had the stats for games in which teams/players batted in the second and third innings! I'd rather have my own database, because there a lot of interesting questions to ask that we can't answer with statsguru only :). As for the second question, I'm going to answer you by an e-mail, as you gave me yours. See ya! OrangeKnight (talk) 18:49, 7 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for pointing that out, I thought it was a good question to ask. (Q1015) I'm a little embarassed as I thought it was accuarate according to my sources. Do you keep a data-base on Trivia and stats ? would love to hear from you. Wattmaster (talk) 12:48, 16 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi. In List of Amar Chitra Katha comics, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Dvaraka (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

Congratulations for Amar Chitra Katha

Congratulations for making the "List of ACK comics" page so beautiful and useful for collectors like us. I want to confirm one thing. "Khudiram Bose" has been listed as BI (Bumper Issue). But could you tell me which bumper issue it was a part of? Abhiroop de (talk)

A Set of Confusions regarding Amar Chitra Katha issues.

edit

Please help me with the following set of problems regarding Amar Chitra Katha:-

1) Recently many old issues have been re-released as Bounded Sets. But can we consider them as part of the new series? SOme of them have been given numbers in the new series, whereas others have no numbers in the new series. This is confusing. Could you give me a separate list of those issues who have a number but are not available separately, and a list of those issues which hare available in bounded set, but have no numbers.

2) I think you are listing Nagananda and Malati based on "Kadambari and other ancient classics". But that itself is not available. Can you help?

3) This book Great Indian Classics http://www.amarchitrakatha.com/indian-classics/great-indian-classics , lists some unpublished ACKs too like "The Taming of Gulla". But can we take this as authentic. It also has an issue called " Bankim Chandra". But I never heard of any such issue by ACK. What do you think of this?

Abhiroop de (talk) 13:10, 17 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

I dont think you should take Great Indian Classics into consideration, because this is just a coffee table book, and not a ACK release in its true sense. Moreover you have given "BS" to "A march of Freedom" series, depending on the " The Story of the Freedom Struggle (Bumper Issue No. 10; August 1997)". But this issue is long out of print, and is not even listed on the ACK catalogue 2011-12. So I am not sure if you should count it at all. Abhiroop de (talk) 08:44, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

As of now, out of the books of the new series, I found only these which are completely unavailable, buth in single issues as well as in bounded issues. Please check this list and tell me if there will be any omissions or additions:-

602 Quick Witted Birbal

769 Valmiki

787 Balban

813 Maarthanda Varma

815 Veer Dhaval

816 The Elusive Kaka

But Kadambari is a part of the 5-in 1 bounded set "Kadambari and other ancient classics"...Isnt it? Abhiroop de (talk) 11:49, 20 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of International cricket families, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tom Cooper (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Hi Sumant81. It's been 8 years since you seemingly retired. I hope all is well. In the coming months the cricket quiz will be relaunched and you are currently top of the leaderboard. The leader at the end of the year will receive the 'Champions Trophy'. Hoping you find this message well and look foward to your participation. StickyWicket (talk) 21:41, 6 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
