Your contributions at Articles for Deletion

edit

Thank you for your recent contributions to Articles for Deletion. Your arguments are welcomed in helping to resolve the workload at this section of Wikipedia. However, can I suggest that you would be more effective in the following two ways:

  • (a) Provide a unique wording for your argument in each debate. When editors see the same argument (in this case "Delete. Not notable - Does not meet qualifications for notability") made in a large number of AfDs, they can be inclined to think you are applying a template rather than considering each article on its merits. Using different wording is a good way to show you have individually considered each matter you're commenting on.
  • (b) Cite policy. I assume that by "qualifications for notability" you mean WP:N, but you may also be referring to one of a range of other relevant policies. It helps to say which policy you're referring to, and to explain why you feel the particular article does not meet it. Sometimes this results in saying basically the same thing again and again in debate after debate - but you'll get a better outcome and your views will be given a greater weight.

Hope this helps your contribution to Articles for Deletion! If you have any questions please feel free to ask me on my talk page, or to ask another Wikipedian for help. And welcome to Wikipedia! - DustFormsWords (talk) 02:03, 17 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please don't alter the archived discussions on AfD. They should be kept intact and unchanged unless there is a reason for removing it. The discussion needs to stay in place so that if someone recreates the article it in the future, we can refer to the previous results of the deletion discussion. —Joshua Scott (LiberalFascist) talk 02:14, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'm planning on withdrawing my deletion vote as notability was established. Do you want to take over my nomination or should I close it as a keep? Kevin Rutherford (talk) 20:41, 22 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
