Proposed deletion of "Enverland"

edit

The article "Enverland" has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:DICTIONARY

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ⁓ Hello71 00:10, 12 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Enverland

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed your recent creation of Enverland. Although it's true the term was used in the past as a label for Turkey (here's an early 20th century article describing the term), it might be better as a redirect to Enver Pasha. Redirects send readers to another article, and are useful as an aid for navigation.--xanchester (t) 00:16, 12 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

I've created Enverland as a redirect. I hope that helps.--xanchester (t) 00:17, 12 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring at Nizami Ganjavi

edit

Hello Supremo1077. Your twice-repeated edit here, making Nizami be an Azeri Turk, appears to be contrary to the sources. It is believed that the Moslem residents of this area would have spoken some kind of Persian language at the time. See ref. 3 of the article, a book by Storey and De Blois. The Encyclopedia of Islam calls him "one of the greatest Persian poets and thinkers". If you have sources to justify your view, please offer them on the article's talk page for discussion. Changes like yours can be viewed as nationalist edit warring. See WP:Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan 2 for an Arbcom decision which applies to these matters. That decision allows administrators to impose sanctions that may include topic bans if they notice violations of Wikipedia policy on these articles.
