Request reason:

I have no clue why my initial account, that was created 8 years ago, has all of a sudden been blocked, but instead of making me create an entirely new account, please allow me to change my username and reactivate my account Suretonerecords (talk) 23:20, 26 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Although your account was created eight years ago it has only been used for editing for a few days, and would not be noticed until editing activity. A username must not be the name of a company or organization; please choose another name, using {{unblock-un}}. Your edits will be automatically moved to your new account name.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 16:41, 27 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Here are a few key questions:

  • Do you understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and not a business directory?
  • Do you understand conflict of interest, if so, what impact does this have on your editing?
  • Do you understand that to be considered for an encyclopedia article, the subject must be notable?
  • What edits do you intend to make in the future, if your unblock request is accepted?
  • Do you receive any compensation for your edits, financial or otherwise? (Note: You are legally required to disclose this per our Terms of Use and paid editing policy.)

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the important principles above. Coffee // have a cup // beans // 08:55, 3 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
