Hi Susan,
I am not really sure where you want to get with your message about the tag linguist. As far as I can tell (and I may be wrong), linguists are people who deal with language(s) on a professional basis. These people normally have some kind of degree in the field, or related fields, like psychology or anthropology. I do not think that all professional linguists have PhD degrees, as a matter of fact I know lots who don't. You seem to think that only people with the highest degree qualify. This seems strange to me, but it is of no importance since my PhD (which is the highest degree the Netherlands award) will be awarded next month.
Kind regards

Proposed deletion of Predicative complement

edit

The article Predicative complement has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Just a copy of Complement (linguistics)#Predicative complements. No explanation of why a seperate article needed to be created.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
