File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Mahan Mj.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 14:56, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Swami Nirmalananda, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kumari (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Invitation from Wikipedia Asian Month 2016

edit

Thanks for partipating Wikipedia Asian Month last year, and I hope you enjoy it. Last year, more than 7,000 articles contribute to Wikipedia in 43 languages in Wikipedia Asian Month, making us one of the largest event on Wikipedia. We will organize this event again in upcoming November, and would like to invite you join us again.

This year, we are lowering down the standards that you only need to create 4 (Four) articles to receive a postcard (new design), and articles only need to be more than 3,000 bytes and 300 words. We are also improving our postcard sending process, e.g. making the postcards right now, and collecting the address after the event ends without waiting other languges.

Wikipedians who create the most articles on each Wikipedia will be honored as "Wikipedia Asian Ambassadors". We will send you both digital copy, and a paper copy of the Ambassador certificate.

Thank you for considering! --AddisWang (talk)

July 2020

Hello, I'm SP013. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Sushant Singh Rajput have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks. SP013 (talk) 16:09, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

The matter under investigation. The media reports too are under investigation. So it would be misleading and hindering the investigations if unverified reportsvare given as facts. Wikipedia's credibility is at stake. Wikipedia should not help criminals. Yours truly 16:14, 19 July 2020 (UTC)

See you do not have proof that these people that you say are "criminals" Wikipedia is based off of facts and reliable sources and the statement given by the Mumbai police is a reliable source. SP013 (talk) 16:18, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Okay, the people of India are at it. Hope Truth prevails and Wikipedia reflects it. Yours truly 16:25, 19 July 2020 (UTC)

Sushant Singh Rajput

edit

Your edits seem to indicate vandalism as you are trying to push what you only think is right and not what admins such as Ravensfire say as what was reported by the Mumbai Police and the media as a "Suicide by Hanging" which was the correct term. SP013 (talk) 16:13, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ravensfire is not an admin, but is a very experienced editor who should be listened to. I am an administrator, and I agree that your edits like this one, Swami1980, are very disruptive, and you are likely to wind up blocked if you continue with them. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:49, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Mumbai police have not concluded their investigation. The have only given prima facie findings. Mainstream media are giving diverse reports especially during the last few days and the social media which is mire relief by the public nowadays casts doubt on the do called hanging. I will give links in this space. If I make any change in the main page I will provide references. Threat of blocking is better avoided. Thanks. Yours truly 17:09, 19 July 2020 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Swami1980 (talkcontribs) 17:09, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

At this point, you need to seek consensus via discussion on the article's talk page for any substantive change to the subject's cause of death. This has been a problematic area because some people are emotionally invested in this area. Oh, and please sign your posts properly with four tildes like ~~~~ Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:17, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ok. Fine. Done. Yours truly 18:48, 19 July 2020 (UTC)

Swami1980 Wikipedia reports only what reliable sources have said. If/when that narrative changes, so will what Wikipedia says as well. When you have high quality sources differing on something, Wikipedia will generally report the consensus view among those sources. Yes, during current events, that means things will change in articles, that's the nature of something like this. Ravensfire (talk) 21:36, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Problem with your custom signature

edit

You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
  4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. 19:04, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
