Thanks for uploading File:Wediko 75th logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 03:53, 28 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Advice

edit

Hi, Swgradstudent. On my talk page, you asked for advice on improving Wediko Children's Services consistent with Wikipedia policy and guidelines.

To get started, it would be helpful for you to acquaint yourself with the information listed on the following pages that are commonly recommended to new contributors:

I realize that there's a lot to digest there. With respect to Wediko, it's critical to remember that Wikipedia has a neutral point of view. Article content should be objective, and the tone should be neutral. In contrast, the Wediko article, as currently written, reads like a promotional brochure. For an example of the difference, compare the way the Wediko article is written with the way somewhat similar information is presented in Family Foundation School.

Additionally, since it appears that you have some sort of affiliation with Wediko, you need to be mindful of Wikipedia's policy on conflict of interest.

I hope this information helps point you in the right direction. Feel free to ask for advice... --Orlady (talk) 03:50, 4 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'm pleased to see how you have improved the article. I removed the advert template.
A major improvement that still needs to be made is to provide inline reference sources for the article content. Instead of listing third-party articles about Wediko (such as the one in Time magazine) as evidence of recognition, cite those publications in the article as sources of information about the program. Those third party articles probably also can enrich the article by providing details and contextual information that aren't in Wediko's own sources. --Orlady (talk) 16:35, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
