Orphaned non-free media (File:FirsTierEventCenter.gif)
editThanks for uploading File:FirsTierEventCenter.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:38, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
Grand Island Wiki Page
editI have lived in Grand Island, Nebraska for nearly three years and our page stinks! I asked Wendy Jerke (the Information officer) of the city of GI to help. She said, "no." I will help edit the Grand Island page. I can collect materials from all sources and photos. I do not know the formatting for Wiki. Can you help me? paul@retzlergroup.com or (308) 384-6816. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Paulwarshauer (talk • contribs) 12:26, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Disputed non-free use rationale for File:AMTDparkrendering.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:AMTDparkrendering.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 17:15, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Invitation to join WikiProject United States
editRE: Wikipedia Page for Laurtizen Corp
editDear Sweet-pea-1981, I am director of public relations for First National Bank of Omaha, a subsidiary of the Lauritzen Corporation. I noticed today in the Ownership section of the Lauritzen Corp page the following new entry: "Ranked 37th nationally, Lauritzen was the second-largest bank denied TARP funds when the U.S. government issued them to banks in October 2008.[12] The only bank larger than Lauritzen denied TARP funds was Cleveland-based National City Corp., which was then promptly bought by Pittsburgh-based PNC Financial Services with TARP money."
If you go to the Cleveland Plain Dealer article [12] that the editor, jgera5, references in this section, you will see that jgera5's claim that Lauritzen Corp was denied TARP funding was taken out of context, as the article says Lauritzen "did not get" Treasury money. In truth, Lauritzen Corp did not seek nor accept TARP funding.
Would you be able to correct or remove this entry? Thank you.Hawkeye81 (talk) 20:26, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Suggestion for WikiProject United States to support WikiProject Nebraska
editIt was recently suggested that WikiProject Nebraska, to which you are a member, may be inactive or semi-active and it might be beneficial to include it in the list of projects supported by WikiProject United States. After reviewing the project it appears that there haven't been much active discussion on the talk page in some time and the only content updates appear to be simple maintenance so being supported by a larger project might be beneficial. I have begun a discussion on the projects talk page to see how the members of the project feel about this suggestion. Another user has added the project to the WPUS template and I added it to the list of supported projects in the WPUS main project page but before I take any further action I wanted to contact each of the active members for their input. --Kumioko (talk) 13:56, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
