Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed that you recently added a {{hangon}} template to an article, GreenStuffAbsorbent. In order for an administrator to evaluate whether the article should be speedy deleted or not, we request that you provide reasoning, on the article's talk page, for why it should remain. Thank you. -Zeus- 00:36, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
- Sure. Glad to help. First off, the content has to be really dry and technical. Real "Encylopedia Brittanica" stuff. It has to be written in your own words and it has to be a notable subject. It's OK to use external links to corporate and third-party sources for information, but the content has to be in your own words. Click on this link to learn more and don't hesitate to ask for help. Have fun! --PMDrive1061 (talk) 01:03, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
One good way is to do a temporary page within your own user space. Just fill in the text here: User:Syosset1966/Green Stuff Absorbent That'll keep it out of the article space and perhaps we can work on it together. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:50, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
Looking better. There's no need to start off every sentence with the name of the product. I'll do a bit of formatting. Plus, if you can add some history of the product, that would be a great help. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 17:17, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
You're entirely welcome. In fact, take a look. It's almost done. :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 17:41, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. It's an interesting product to be sure. I'm hoping that since it's now categorized and formatted, we can go ahead and move it to the article space once I add the metric conversions. The overall notability has me a bit concerned; it might get tagged for deletion for a lack of notability. Frankly, I think it's suitable for inclusion. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 17:58, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
And I do beleive we have us a winner! I'd like for you to take the credit, so cut and paste the text to Green Stuff Absorbent and we should be good to go. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 18:06, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
Bingo. It's very tempting to use this as free advertising space, unintentional or not. That's why we have to be kind of vigilant when patrolling the new entries. I honestly think this will fly. I have one more category I'd like to add and then feel free to transfer it over.--PMDrive1061 (talk) 18:10, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
That's all. Open up the edit screen, highlight the entire text and category links and paste it under the new title. I think I've gotten the "bugs" out of it. I have to admit, I like collaborating on projects like this. Good luck and have fun! --PMDrive1061 (talk) 18:21, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, it got clobbered, but another admin removed the deletion notice. It should remain indefinitely at this point. Someone had raised the concern that yours was an account I'd blocked for advertising, but even if you are, it's clear you aren't here to spam. Therefore, enjoy your stay here and please don't hesitate to let me know if you need any further assistance! I'll delete the temporary page since it won't be needed anymore. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 23:31, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Green Stuff Absorbent
editI have nominated Green Stuff Absorbent, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Green Stuff Absorbent. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 01:15, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, my. I agree; that is disheartening as all get-out, especially since it really is not written like an advertisement. All I can say is that it simply doesn't meet the notability guidelines for an article on a product. I'll leave a comment on the AfD discussion. Don't feel bad. I've had at least four of my own articles deleted by the same process. Don't let it get you down. It isn't a majority vote but ano overall consensus. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 17:08, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Hi! Doin' OK, thanks. Looks as if the article got to stay after all. I'm glad the system works. Someone on the deletion discussion found a couple of relevant links which might help to expand this somewhat. Whew, what an ordeal. :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 16:51, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
Gettyburg Cyclorama stuff
editAdditional sources would be most awesome! It would be best if you either a) added the information yourself to the article and referenced the sources you used or, if you are uncomfortable with that, then b) add links to the sources to the article's talk page, and I or someone else can read them and add more info. That's really cool! --Jayron32.talk.contribs 18:50, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
I just added the links. Good luck! Syosset1966 (talk) 20:10, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
