@Kb.au: Hey Kb, Thanks for the warm welcome! Regarding the notability of the subject of the "Giant Readymix Logo" page - What you said regarding its coverage is true in that it is fairly minor but over a long period. However, I would argue that the subject is notable as 1) as far as I can tell, the GRL (Giant Readymix Logo) is still the largest advertisement in the world and 2) the GRL is one of the largest geoglyphs in the world, with some articles listing the GRL as the largest geoglyph in the world - although from what I can tell that title is more likely to be the Marree Man, with the GRL or Mundi Man a close second. Furthermore, I would suggest that the level of notability is equal to that of similar subjects. Many existing pages on geoglyphs have a similar level of detail/notability as this one - especially those on hill figures. Many pages on Australia's Big Things also have a similar level of detail/notability. I do appreciate the fact that you admitted it was a tricky one though - sorry for making it so difficult for you, haha! Finally, if you still aren't convinced I would suggest that RMC Group would certainly be one option for a merger, but that merging into "Caiguna, Western Australia" may be a better fit as that is where the GRL is located, after all? Cheers! TJN92 (talk) 14:13, 9 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for starting up this discussion. Like I mentioned, it's a hard one to gauge the notability of especially given that it's atypical to have articles specifically on advertisements. I agree that if the subject was any other geological feature, the question of notability would be less controversial. The article is written well enough and the referencing is there, so I will move it to article space for the time being. I can't see how it would be harmful to do so. Either of the merges you suggested could be an idea for the future if others think it doesn't meet the notability bar. Kb.au (talk) 14:32, 9 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

one small problem with most of the anecdotal material is that it is WP:OR - there are no WP:RS. Please try to make sure blocks of assettins like that are qualified in some way with WP:CITE - thanks. JarrahTree 14:38, 22 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
