So, this article idea developed as a result of the explanations of each type of "art" (or "study") in Jewish exegesis, found at Karaite Judaism (see paragraph 2 of that article). I see potential here to discuss several examples of texts for which there are extant and referencible exegetical interpretations, as well as an outline of the historical development of each type and their relative importance and rôle in Jewish life and in halakha, as well as their influence in various sects and movements. • I don't think this is appropriate material for a standalone article, and the name peirush is not suitable either. It may be useful under exegesis in Judaism, with a subheading "The Pardes approach", explaining a little what it means by an approach, ie levels of depth to understanding the torah; also what pardes means; maybe it is worth mentioning the idea of 'שבעים פנים'. --jnothman 01:14, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)
    • A cursory glance at the article should fairly clearly demonstrate that I had no desire to call the article proposal Peirush.  :-p Tomer TALK 19:31, Jun 15, 2005 (UTC)
