Proposed deletion of Axman

edit

Hello, TX6785. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Axman, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Garagepunk66 (talk) 01:22, 25 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Redirects

edit

How many redirects to Schutzstaffel do you feel are necessary? WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:37, 29 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry, is there a limit to the number allowed to a page? - TX6785 (talk) 16:44, 29 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

No, there is no hard limit, but it seems like an excessive exercise. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 17:07, 29 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
Most of your recent edits will be deleted under Template:Redirtypo-warn. . . Mean as custard (talk) 18:09, 29 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

These aren't implausible typos. - TX6785 (talk) 18:10, 29 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Himler's Shutstafel for example contains four separate typos. This is implausible. . . Mean as custard (talk) 18:46, 29 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

It's phonetic. It's a German surname and a German name. It is quite plausible that someone in the English-speaking world would misspell both of them. What about kids? Additionally, this discusses the most notorious organization that ever existed. I can't believe I'm getting flack over something that can only benefit the encyclopedia. What else would these ever direct to? Don't you think they get hits at least occasionally? - TX6785 (talk) 18:51, 29 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Your editing is being discussed at WP:ANI

edit

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding excessive creation of marginally useful redirects. The thread is User:TX6785 appears obsessed. Thank you. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 18:13, 29 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

TX6785, could you please come and discuss your conduct on WP:ANI...there are editors who are concerned about the over-the-top number of redirect pages you are creating and what possible motivation is driving you. Liz Read! Talk! 21:36, 29 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

I read what is written in the discussion. I'm not sure what you are asking of me to contribute right now. I'm planning on abstaining from the rest of the batch of SS redirects until the discussion is resolved. - TX6785 (talk) 21:41, 29 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. I hope you take on board the advice in WP:ANI. In the meantime, I've deleted the large number of unnecessary redirects you created earlier. -- The Anome (talk) 15:08, 30 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
