Making relevant case law available

edit

Personally I think the best way to go is to use the {{Wikisource}} logo thingy, along with some references in citation format to information in the article itself, but other than that each situation may be different and could be hashed out on the articles' talk pages. But definitely the primary source court documents are very very helpful and you are doing a good service by providing them online in this fashion, and no one should contest the inclusion of the links to Wikisource via the logo/code thingy. You may want to add this to your userpage -- {{User Wikisource}} - and this one to your userpage over there - {{User Wikipedia}} -- Cheers, Cirt (talk) 21:25, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Bauer v. Glatzer

edit

FYI -- I added some potential sources for this article, to the article's talk page. Cirt (talk) 17:19, 4 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Cirt. I'd like to see your sources, but looks like both the Barbara Bauer page and the talk page were deleted. Not quite sure why. I thought the case was quite notable and posed a fascinating question regarding the interpretation of 47 USC 230. Also, it may have the potential to seriously impact not only Wikipedia, but any internet host's liability for third-party created content. But perhaps Wikipedia is tip-toeing around Barbara Bauer-related issues since it is in the midst of litigation with her. Any thoughts on why it was deleted? Is there a place I can look for an explanation? I'm a bit in the dark since I'm new here. Taiwan prepares (talk) 02:47, 5 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
As the deleting administrator, I can't go into details, but I can say that I don't see a problem with re-creating the article after the litigation involving the Wikimedia Foundation is complete. Ral315 (talk) 22:12, 5 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Totally understandable. Thanks for the clarification. Taiwan prepares (talk) 00:03, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Soldal v. Cook County

edit

Hi there, I just noticed your reference to Soldal v. Cook County. I had created the page in my user space, and just submitted it to the AfC process. I would appreciate if you could take a look at the page at User:Grolltech/Soldal v. Cook County, and provide any comments/edits that you feel may be necessary. Thanks!
