You are off to an excellent start, Shane! Wow! I loved all the work you put into this. One thing, however, is that you have to put the FULL citation for any source you are using. Don't just rely on links - they might be busted or you might not do it correctly. Write out everything about the piece (authors names, title, journal, date, etc) as though you were writing a works cited page. But well done, Shane. I don't know anything about assertion theory, so I look forward to seeing what you produce! Alfgarciamora (talk) 13:59, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Tall kidd: Well done moving your content to the mainspace, Shane, but you need to do a lot of leg work to make sure you cite all your content. There are a lot of sentences without citations that need them. Also, you have to be drawing from academic peer-reviewed journals in sociology, not just websites. Did you do get to talk to Sarah Hammill? Alfgarciamora (talk) 20:39, 4 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hey Shane! I agree with prof Garcia that you are off to a great start. I like that you want to include the different scenarios, the stress involved, and how society can affect the topic as well as the legal stance but i think you could also include sections that will more directly state what assertion theory actually is and entails like the 3 response types: assertion, non-assertion, and aggression. In addition the response styles like: emotion, non-verbal behavior, and verbal language, etc that way the reader can get more of a feel as to what the actual definition is and the different components of assertion theory. Good luck!! Alejuly98 (talk) 23:22, 18 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
