Thanks for your note. I don't have really strong views about the edit, but I still think the revert was correct. In the case of John Kerry, the paper clearly stated "for this reason we endorse John Kerry". It did not say in last week's edition at any stage "we endorse each and every candidate standing under the Democratic banner in the mid-terms" it merely said that the Republicans had done a poor job in control of Congress and deserved to receive a caning. There was no official endorsements, hence I reverted. But if you have really strong views about it, just revert it back - but I would suggest clarifying in your revert that it was not a formal endorsement so much as a comment to the effect that the Republicans deserved to lose a bundle of seats.
