Hello, I'm Donner60. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made with this edit to Cilla Black, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Donner60 (talk) 21:07, 1 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

You state the county was wrong. I did not check so perhaps you are right. But why did you change "date" to "dte"? That alone tipped me off that it was a bad edit and led to its reversion. If you have a constructive edit to make, go ahead and make it. Donner60 (talk) 21:19, 1 October 2014 (UTC)all I was trying to change was the county I'm on a mobile phone so perhaps it's editing more than what I'm trying to correct all I want to change is lancashire to Merseyside.Reply
OK. I will accept your explanation and delete the notice in the manner prescribed by the guidelines. We all make mistakes. Donner60 (talk) 21:28, 1 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Cilla Black was born in Lancashire not Merseyside

edit

The convention thst we use in biographies is to state the county a person was born in, not the county as it is today. Cilla Black was born in Lancashire as Merseyside did not come into existence until 1974. Richerman (talk) 21:59, 1 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
