match results

Hi Tazflerts, Thanks for your input in maintaining this article, the layout is more compact and the additional info is great! Question though - I found a few changes to some match scores (e.g. Sept 14th Spanish Town 4-2 Holy Trinity was changes to a 2-2 draw) and just wanted to verify with you that these are in fact the correct scores? (I get the results via The Gleaner or Observer....Is your source the same?)

I got my results from the observer, gleaner, more so tvj and cvm respectively at nights. My scores maybe off as neither of these medium may be accurate. Example, the print media had Hydel High (8-0)Dunoon Technical but infact its Hydel High (9-0) Dunoon Technical on both tvj and cvm. Tried calling ISSA for the correct scores but the ladies there keep saying they haven't received any referee match card from any of the games played thus far.

I apologize for the change-up as there were some anomalies with Wolmers and Kingston Technical matches. There were two matches assigned to Wolmers that should have for Kingston Technical (Tue, 18-Sep-12 15:30 Kingston Technical (0-0) Jose Marti Technical and the return leg Sat, 06-Oct-12)

I pretty much use the same means to get the required info. I struggle a bit to catch the cvm/tvj reports though (I'm in Canada and thus try to watch online, which can be a little tricky at times!) I welcome your excellent support for this article, that's what wikipedia is all about! I'm somewhat new to wiki editing and find this collaborative effort really positive - let's keep on preserving a little part of our history for others to enjoy in years to come! I have one question regarding the Oberlin St Andrew game on Sep 10th - I contacted ISSA shortly after that date and they advised that a decision on the game was not yet made...Is it the case that the match was since awarded to Oberlin under similar conditions as the DQ game?

I'm also a North Street graduate - but from the purple side! (Remember the famous "Battle Of North Street" games?) Actually, one of my good friends was a former STGC Manning Cup player (David Sinclair)...we frequently hang out, play football and talk about the heydays of Dennis Zaidie and when all schoolboy football matches were mostly played in the National Stadium...good ol days!

Keep

This competition in Jamaica, West Indies; highlights one of the country's oldest football competitions starting in 1909 with an official launching in 1919 along with the DaCosta Cup. It is one of the soccer competitions that is older than the world cup.

This site was the ideal choice to cover the nation's top school athletic sport and feed that information to our international diaspora and to keep adequate records of the competition.

I have done everything requested as it relates to its links and the validity of the information compiled.

So why was this one deleted and the others for the ISSA Manning Cup 2011, 2012 and 2013 as well as the DaCosta Cup competitions marked for deletion?

This is sad as no other website has the historical data you are marking for deletion. Also of note is that this is one of the competitions that has our youths representing our under 17, under 21 and senior national teams for Jamaica as well as representatives in the Jamaica Premier League MLS Cup, Barclay's Cup, German Bundisliga and Dutch League to name a few as well youths who have been to Barcelona's youth camp.
