I am the Director of Operations for ProgressiveChristianity.org (that is our legal DBA) and the changes I made are on behalf of the organization who holds the copyright. These changes were made by logging into our account. What other verification do you need? Tcpcorg (talk) 18:41, 8 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia has a lot of policies about conflict of iinterest editing; that is, editing directly about subjects you are connected. Also, role accounts are forbidden, but if an employee with an account solely under their control wants to add content from the website, then whoever is authorized to release copyright for your organization needs to send a statement of permission. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the exact details of what we accept. Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries details how to release permissions. Even then, there isn't a guarantee that the material will be included because you are directly connected to the organization. Sennecaster (Chat) 18:57, 8 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
I have sent the statement to permissions-enwikimedia.org. How long before I will hear back? Tcpcorg (talk) 19:43, 8 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
We received this today, can you please update the site with the changes I made?

Hello, I'm Discospinster. I noticed that in this edit to Progressive Christianity (organization), you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ... discospinster talk 19:29, 6 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created Progressive Christianity (organization), and I noticed that your username, "Tcpcorg", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. Alternatively, you can just create a new account and use that for editing. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you.   Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Progressive Christianity (organization). While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you.
