New to the Guild of Copy Editors

Hey there, I'm new to the Guild of Copy Editors. As you saw, I joined the member list yesterday. (I appreciate the acknowledgement; it's good to know that the community is active.)

I just stumbled across the Backlog Elimination Drive for July. It seems like a good place to get organized and track my own progress. (Plus, who doesn't want barnstars? :D) I was wondering how to retroactively list articles I've copy edited? This includes 3x3 basketball, which I copy edited yesterday. I was also wondering if it is possible to count articles from June as well (since I see some of the other editors have rollover words). I did extensive copy editing on numerous articles, including Keanu Reeves, Advertising revenue, Healthcare in Canada, and Human resource management. Hi Bobbychan193. I'm excited that you are joining the Guild and want to participate in the drive! You can give yourself credit for any articles you edited during the month of July. The rollover totals are from our previous drive, which was in May, and are calculated as the "extra" words above the cut-off for a certain barnstar from that drive. At the end of the July drive we will calculate the rollover words for you and you can add them to your total for our next drive, in September. Unfortunately, articles edited in June don't count towards the total; improving Wikipedia will have to be its own reward for those. :) Let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks, @Twofingered Typist:. I don't think the article needed that much work anyway. Although quite minor, I do respectfully wonder about your edit to "It was also the last of the Los Angeles "classic seven" TV stations which were originally on the VHF dial, prior to the 2009 digital conversions" (emphasis added). I've always understood that American English prefers the use of "that" instead of "which" in such circumstances (although in British English either is acceptable).
