Speedy deletion nomination of University of Saint David

edit

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as University of Saint David, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.  Glenfarclas  (talk) 09:09, 4 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Removing Speedy at University of Saint David

edit

Hi there Tecacwebmaster! I saw that you added a {{hangon}} tag to a page which you created, University of Saint David. This is good, but in the process you removed the tag requesting deletion under CSD G3. Even though there is a hangon on the page, the deletion template should remain there. But don't worry, this doesn't mean that the page is going to get deleted. Make sure you edit the talk page of the page nominated for deletion, located at Talk:University of Saint David, administrators will look at your reason why the page should remain before they decide what to do. Thanks - SDPatrolBot (talk) 09:27, 4 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of University of Saint David

edit

A tag has been placed on University of Saint David, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from University of Saint David, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Feinoha Talk, My master 02:24, 5 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Where it was copied from

edit

A little searching shows that much of the USD website, including the "gently rolling hills" of the campus, "Nadia Magnenat-Thalmann, founding Director of MIRALab", and "students benefit from our broad-based education, internship opportunities, global experience and undergraduate research projects. Our Global Immersion Program offers international experience of up to a year in two locations. The locations include cities and universities in the United States, Europe, China, India, or Vietnam. Vibrant student activities provide opportunities for leadership and team-building" are copied from the website of the real Nanyang Technological University. Please don't waste our time with this again. JohnCD (talk) 18:22, 5 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi JohnCD, Thanks a lot for your find out. I will keep notice about this case. (KentLA 06:06, 6 June 2010 (UTC))
