- evidence that the subject meets any of the specific criteria for music;
or multiple published secondary sources that:
- provide significant coverage: discuss the subject in detail, not just brief mentions or routine announcements;
- are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
- are independent: not connected to the subject, such as interviews, press releases, the subject's own website, or sponsored content.
Please add references that meet these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.
It is often easier to prove the notability of an album or artist than an individual song or band member. If the subject is not yet notable, consider improving a relevant existing article instead.Next steps

[edit]Hi Techfreak001. I read your recent articles, Oke Umurhohwo and Olubunmi Kuku. I would like to understand why you wrote these articles. Did someone ask you to write them? Thank you in advance, regards TitCrisse (t•c) 00:24, 3 September 2026 (UTC).
- Hi @TitCrisse, thanks for reaching out . To clarify, neither of the two people reached out to me or hired me to create their Wikipedia articles.
- For Oke Omurhohwo, he is someone I have known for a long time and who is also like a mentor to me. Since I got into the Wikipedia space, I have been intentionally volunteering to create Wikipedia profiles for notable individuals who do not already have one. This is mainly to improve my research, writing, and Wikipedia editing skills. I have done this for a few people, including some I did not personally know, and a few were recommended to me by my tutor, including a few university vice-chancellors in Kenya who had served in that capacity for many years.
- I had also publicly shared that I was looking for notable people without Wikipedia profiles whose articles I could voluntarily work on. That was how I identified the first person. I reached out to him to ask if he would be okay with me creating the article, but he never responded to my message till this moment.
- The second article came about differently. During my announcement, someone reached out to me and mentioned that he had previously tried to get a Wikipedia article created for Olubunmi Kuku but it did not work out. They asked if I could look into it. When I researched her, I realized that she was a notable figure with substantial media coverage and that there was enough publicly available information to potentially support a properly sourced article. I therefore decided to work on it voluntarily. Techfreak001 (talk) 04:33, 3 September 2026 (UTC)
