Glad to see a new editor at work on chem pages. If you have stylistic or technical questions, many editors can offer advice, for example on the article Talk pages.

Here are two suggested readings: WP:SECONDARY and WP:COI. The gist of these guidelines are:

• Wikipedia prefers citations to reviews and books, not primary journal references (tens of thousands appear annually). Citing secondary sources is the encyclopedic style, when possible.
• Avoid citing yourself or your colleagues. It's called conflict of interest. Many new editors cite themselves mainly. That behavior can be problematic.

Amino acid lede image

Thanks for working on it! File:AminoAcidball.svg definitely has incorrect relative radii. I think it's definitely an improvement to have correct bond-angles, but the original image was a pretty standard style in biochem and elsewhere, writing amino acids with up/down side-chains on a horizontal backbone with "squared" C geometric appearance. The article talks about geometry, so even better that it's "relevantly more correct". But now the image is explicitly the non-natural enantiomer. And the N looks planar, whereas if this is the un-ionized form it would be tetrahedral as well. DMacks (talk) 14:44, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
