Tracklisting discussion
editHi Teklund, I've noticed your revert for the WikiProject page. For your information, I have brought this subject up at the relevant talk page but there were no responses at all. Please see here and contribute some input to the discussion. Regards, Andylkl (talk) July 6, 2005 16:36 (UTC)
Apogee
editNice work, I couldnt of done it better myself (and i mean that.. ;)). - UnlimitedAccess 9 July 2005 18:00 (UTC)
I have changed Image:Mariahcareybio childhood.jpg, the image you listed on Possibly unfree images on July 3, to an image which I believe to be fair use. If it isn't too much trouble, I would like you to comment on the change there, and state whether you agree or disagree that the use of the new image qualifies as fair use. Thanks in advance. I would also like to take this opportunity to applaud you for keeping an eye out for images with source or copyright information missing. Extraordinary Machine 22:24, 19 July 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks! I guess you're refering to Image:Mariahcarey0405.jpg, so I commented on that. Teklund 19:21, 20 July 2005
Natalie Portman, re: is calling someone "Oscar-nominated" POV?
editPOV means two different people can have two different opinions. It's like saying blueberry jam is best. The fact that Natlie Portman was nominated for an Oscar is not debatable, ergo not POV. Ayeroxor 18:21, July 22, 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, I don't think "POV" really was the right expression to use. There's two reasons to why I removed the fact she's a Oscar-nominee. First, I think it doesn't belong in the paragraph describing how she was discovered. And two, mentioning the fact already in the article's introduction seemed as POV to me, as being an Oscar-nominee is often seen as an indication of being a good actress, and describing someone as a good actress is POV. Teklund 18:34, 22 July 2005 (UTC)
- Good enough. Thanks for the rational explanation; they're getting harder to come by these days :) Ayeroxor 03:49, July 23, 2005 (UTC)
Articles
editPlease don't create articles whose content consists only of a title--they're candidates for speedy deletion. As soon as you put something in the article space, it should have enough content to be a decent stub. Best, Meelar (talk) 15:46, July 28, 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry for that. Fixed now. Teklund 18:30, 28 July 2005 (UTC)

- Hi! Actually I do not know anything about Rihanna, I just added the infobox to the article on her album Music of the Sun because it didn't have one. All articles about albums should have an infobox and I spend much of my time on Wikipedia fixing album articles. You may want to see WikiProject Albums for more info. Punky Reggae Party
editWhat is the source of the factual dispute on this song? Is it anything that we can fix or put into context? Bjones 15:36, 16 September 2005 (UTC)
- The reason I put the dispute template on that page was because of the statement "[The] song was inspired by Don Letts' dub reggae DJ sets at the Roxy club in Covent Garden...", something that I haven't read elsewhere. I don't know much about the 1970s punk-reggae scene in England, but I think this song was inspired by the general music scene, and not by Don Letts' specific DJ sets.
- I have some information on the song that's not in the article, so I have plans to expand it soon. Teklund 18:57, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
- Good enough. I was curious about that.Bjones
Need copyright help please.
editcan you check my Kristin Kreuk picture? if I did the copyright correctly? I don't want my picture to be deleted. (Kyla 21:15, 22 September 2005 (UTC))
Motorhead template
editIs there a problem with this? Alf melmac 15:24, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
- I don't think anything is wrong with the template, but there seems to be a bug in the Wikipedia software. All the Motörhead album articles are only in Category:Motörhead albums, but because of what I assume is a bug they also show up in Category:Motörhead even if they shouldn't.
- It seems like this can be fixed by temporalily removing the template from each article and then put it back in again, like I did for Bomber (album) and planned to do for 1916 (album) but forgot – thanks for fixing my error there! Teklund 19:21, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
- Fair enough, I now understand: Category:Motörhead albums and Category:Motörhead songs are in Category:Motörhead, the template may have caused problems by being in the same Cat, which I see you've fixed, thanks. I did ask an experienced user to give me a hand with the cats and template, not wanting to duff it up, but obviously we overlooked this aspect, my apologies for the extra work it's caused.
The songs look ok, so no worries on those. Boy, you did all those as well, sorry. Alf melmac 19:38, 23 September 2005 (UTC)

Hello!
editHi, first of all, I'm not sure if user talk pages are right place to post non-Wikipedia related messages (although I understood it is allowed), but I had no other way. Feel free to remove this if you want to. :) Second, the purpose of this message; hopefully see you at The Forums or IRC Channel sometime! If you can, please e-mail me to the Grid address. -KR- 85.157.118.210 18:25, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
- I'm online right now, so I'll log in to IRC right away! Teklund 18:27, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
Edea
editThanks for correcting the formatting on the Edea disambiguation page. I created it late last night, and I completely forgot the disambig tag and the proper bullets to use. You evidently noticed and covered for me. Appreciate it! BrianSmithson 13:36, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
Kristin Kreuk nosource photo
editCan you please not delete this picture? I like this picture..and I don't want it to be deleted..can you help search for the source? thanks. I know I seen it before but I don't know where it is. (Kyla 03:21, 4 October 2005 (UTC))
Crystalcherry has been recreated, I believe it lacks notability as per the previous AfD. I got involved in this when User:Cherryrain went "Opps", twice on Avril Lavigne and then requested my assistance after I reverted. I suspect this user has been biten/slighted by the AfD, and is not acting entirely in good faith. Cherryrain mentioned User:Drini's agreement for a rewrite; I'm not optimistic that will be sufficient to satisfy all users involved in this issue. (suggest replies/discussion should be directed to Talk:Crystalcherry) (CC'd to multiple users) - RoyBoy 800 05:59, 19 November 2005 (UTC)
Needs infobox sandbox
editHi, I hope you don't mind, but I've edited your Needs infobox sanbox page to remove a link, Atlantic Jaxx Recordings as I added an infobox to that page. I am also moving the page to Atlantic Jaxx Recordings: A Compilation, because I hope to write a page about the record label named "Atlantic Jaxx Recordings" if I can find enough verifyable information. Cheers, Qirex 03:35, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
- Hello, I had actually forgot about that page in my sandbox so thanks for reminding me about it! There already seems to be an article about the record label at Atlantic Jaxx, so Atlantic Jaxx Recordings should perhaps redirect there (or vice versa). Teklund 16:17, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
Category:Paris Hilton albums-What were you thinking!
editTo my amazement and horror I discovered that there is a category regarding Paris Hilton's albums. However there is only one article present here (merely a proposed album). The page by definition is "small without potential for growth", but even that is being generous. I hope you don't mind me deleting it.--Alan Frize 21:10, 25 December 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know about this, I'll comment over at Categories for deletion. Teklund 10:38, 26 December 2005 (UTC)
Picture of Norman W. Manley
editHi Teklund,
I would like to use the picture you posted of the Right Excellent Norman W. Manley at the Jamaican Independence Celebration in August 1962. Could you provide any contact information on the owner of the picture? Thanks. Feel free to respond to this or to e-mail me at dwilliams@dusablepublishing.com.
Chiwillie 16:30, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
- Hello! The picture is a screenshot from the first part of a three-part BBC documentary series called "Reggae: The Story of Jamaican Music". In the documentary you can see some short video footage from the independence celebrations, and Manley can be seen for a few seconds. Unfortunately I don't know who the owner of the footage is, so I can't help you with that. The above link is really the only assistance I can give you. Teklund 19:01, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
