- Her name was Zhina. Will you please respect the kid who died for this huge uprising? Her government name was Mahsa because they didn't allow her Kurdish name. Her own mom calls her Zhina. Have some decency! Tekosh (talk) 16:00, 4 October 2022 (UTC)
Please do not attack other editors, as you did with this edit to User talk:Tekosh. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:58, 4 October 2022 (UTC)

. Bbb23 (talk) 16:07, 4 October 2022 (UTC)As you may have expected, since you have continued to use your talk page for another personal attack while you are blocked, your talk page access has been removed for the duration of the block. I shall also increase the block length to a week. If you continue to edit to promote a nationalist point of view, or to make personal attacks on editors with whom you disagree, or both, you are likely to be blocked indefinitely. That is not how Wikipedia works. JBW (talk) 16:18, 4 October 2022 (UTC)
Misleading intro
editWe do not include ethnicity per MOS:CONTEXTBIO> also she is not fully Kurdish as mentioned on body. Shadow4dark (talk) 12:59, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for your message. I now understand that it's a wikipedia rule that you don't include ethnicity. I guess I don't have an issue with your logic but I have problem with the rule itself. Kurds are an ethnicity who have been struggling to have their own country. Majority consider their homeland as Kurdistan and not Iran or Iraq or Turkey or Syria. I guess Wikipedia is a place where minorities and their identities can be protected. This rule makes it not so much like that. I personally would never consider myself Iraqi and consider myself Kurdish-American, I will always be Kurdish-American and If I even become famous I would like Wikipedia or any other platforms to respect my identity.
- If Mrs. Dilan defined herself as Kurdish-Dutch, would wikipedia tell her that they can not honor her identity?
- Thanks again. Tekosh (talk) 21:00, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
- But Kurdish-Dutch is not correct as sources says that her mother is Turkish and her father Kurdish. The main case for not include ethnicity here is that Dilan has no any relevance for Turkey or the Kurds there as she is fully established in Netherlands with no further relevance.
- Yes the rule is little bit weird as i cant see where they made this. Shadow4dark (talk) 22:06, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
- What you say now makes more sense. Thanks for your patience with me. I am new and trying to learn how to contribute best. :) Tekosh (talk) 03:03, 21 August 2023 (UTC)

editPlease refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Abu Hanifa Dinawari. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. HistoryofIran (talk) 02:14, 20 August 2023 (UTC)
- What do you mean by "disruptive"?
- This scholar is not Persian, that's wrong information. He is Kurdish, his place of birth is in the Kurdish region in Kermansha province. This is evident and you can look it up on any maps. Tekosh (talk) 02:58, 20 August 2023 (UTC)
- Altering sourced information is disruptive, simple as that (you were warned of this). I would highly advise you to read our guidelines. --HistoryofIran (talk) 03:02, 20 August 2023 (UTC)
- Then, please explain to me how you would justify the resources that say he's Kurdish?
- I hope you understand that sourced information can also be wrong. Here we are trying to write as accurate as possible, and him being Kurdish the accurate version.
- How do we discuss this? Tekosh (talk) 03:11, 20 August 2023 (UTC)
- What resources? And how are all those sources “wrong”? Because they contradict your personal opinion? HistoryofIran (talk) 10:53, 20 August 2023 (UTC)

This is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on others again, as you did at User talk:Tekosh, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Edward-Woodrow :) [talk] 12:32, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
editYou have recently edited a page related to the topics of Kurds and Kurdistan, broadly construed, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

My last day on Wikipedia!
editThis message is to you dear admins: @Lectonar, @Lourdes, @Edward-Woodrow,
I would have liked to delete my account after you read it but that's not possible, so I'll just abandon the account (if there's a better way to vanish, please let me know). I hope I can deliver my message across correctly.
In the past few weeks, I have been trying to contribute to Wikipedia but a certain user which happens to be a very experienced admin, that has clear problem with my race and ethnicity, has been suppressing me, my edits, my comments, the pages I have shown interest in, and etc. I understand that the three of you have no idea about the Kurdish/Persian conflict in Iran. Hence a random Persian guy can make it look normal and rational to you that he can easily just suppress my edits on wikipedia the way his country Persia/Iran has been oppressing the Kurds for the past 100 years. I promise if this wasn't Wikipedia and if this user had political power in real world he would put me in jail for my different ideology. I don't blame him, that's how he's raised. He is used to the 100 years old fascism in Iran where Persians are the rulers and every other ethnicity is suppressed.
I have come to the conclusion that Wikipedia is not the right place for me as a Kurdish person who is interested in Kurdish-Mesopotamian history, since I don't have much editing power given how that user suppresses my contributions. If it keeps continuing like this, I will never even become an admin to counterargue at his same equal level.
But this specific user has motivated me hugely to actually get active outside Wikipedia and publish peer-reviewed papers where other Kurds can use on Wikipedia.
Thanks for all your comments, I honestly learnt a lot from them. I just wish you had a bit more context to understand the Persian/Kurdish conflict and were more sensitive about it as we don't want Wikipedia to become the place where minorities get suppressed even more. Please remember just because someone is more experienced on Wikipedia doesn't make them right. Over the course of the last decade, there have been several instances on this particular user's page where non-Kurdish users have expressed the belief that he holds "ethnocentric Persian viewpoints".
Good luck to you all. Tekosh (talk) 04:23, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- By the way, I am NOT an admin: you can place the {{retired}} template on your talk and user page. Edward-Woodrow :) [talk] 11:37, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- And again, enough with this incivility, veiled attacks, and aspersions against HistoryofIran. I'm appalled by the tenacity of your attacks. Essentially describing another user as a fascist and a racist is in no wise acceptable. If you weren't leaving, I'd take this AN/I, seeking to have you blocked, quite possibly indefinitely, for personal attacks, something you have edged on a long time.
