Ivana Miličević

I restored the lead text in the article about Ms. Miličević being born in Sarajevo and being an ethnic Croat. If you take some time to look in the edit history of the article, you will notice a really WP:LAME edit war over whether she is Bosnian or Croatian (and one guy who showed up to claim she was Yugoslavian because Bosnia and Croatia were not independent nations at the time she was born in Sarajevo). I know the lead is a bit messy, but I'd strongly suggest keeping it there as it is the only wording that has lasted for months without an edit war breaking out. Anything even remotely related to the Balkans is a powder keg here on Wikipedia.--Isotope23 13:39, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Moving material to Wikiquote or other projects

Please do not transfer material from Wikipedia to Wikiquote or other projects, as you did for Lauren Graham (to q:Lauren Graham), without following the destination projects' guidelines (usually found under Help:Transwiki on the project). Simply copying and pasting material violates GFDL, as the editors who actually contributed the material are not given credit for its presence in the Wikimedia projects. I can say that for English Wikiquote only, we have adopted an informal shortcut of citing the source Wikipedia article (with link) in the edit summary, like so:

moved quotes from [[w:Lauren Graham]]

You should also notify Wikipedians exactly where it's going by including a similar WQ link in the WP edit summary, like so:

moved quotes to [[q:Lauren Graham]]

Not only does this avoid problems with articles that have different titles, but it makes it much easier for editors to trace the move and follows the GFDL expectation of an link back to the originating Wikimedia project. About edit on Shia LaBeouf

Why have you removed my edit stating that the surname LaBeouf is closely derived from french for "The beef" ? You noted that is it is "unsourced content"... and I find this very insulting because this is not unsourced at all. I am french canadian, and "The beef" is correctly spelled "Le boeuf" in french. If you need references, next time I'll add a link to an online dictionnary. Even if Shia himself did not stated this, it is still a undeniable fact that "The beef" in french IS NOT spelled "LaBeouf".--Smumdax 04:05, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

Daniel Radcliffe

Hiya, I've noticed you've been making a lot of useful edits to the Daniel Radcliffe article recently, and I'd like to thank you for that. :-) However, your recent edit replaced one reference with another, and I didn't think it was much of an improvement, because it's many paragraphs down when it gets to the point of the reference. I don't like to cause wars and conflicts, so if you don't mind, I've put the old reference alongside yours, so there's two. It's OK, that's used a lot in other articles. BTW, I've been making edits to this article since about February, and your the first person I've really seen make a series of good edits to it, so thanks, and I look forward to working with you on it further over the next few weeks and months and maybe years! Another thing that mystifies me is the sheer amount of times the Daniel Radcliffe article gets vandalised. Just look at the history and see the amount of vandalism you and I have had to revert in the 45 minutes since you changed the citations. :-0 Lradrama 20:24, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
