Tree of life 'Darksiders' reference
editThe tree that is depicted in the first Darksiders game is the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The tree that is depicted in the second Darksiders game is the Tree of life. I just wanted to clarify that I wasn't making two different versions of the same reference.Love to help Wikipedia (talk) 18:35, 28 January 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 5
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited David Freddoso, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Notre Dame (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Signature
editI hope you don't mind, I just would care to voice my annoyance with your signature. In my opinion signatures have little business being pixel art. I know many people are and have been dressing up their signatures significantly over the last few years, you are not alone, but I'm making it my policy to start complaining more about this, since it seems to be getting out of hand lately. —TheDJ (talk • contribs) 10:38, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
- There is no pixel art image in my signature, and hey, goose and gander. You added hard to see green to your signature – mine has plain as day deep sky blue. Is that it? you get the blues when you see blue? Maybe my signature needs some warm red wiki love ♥ added, and oh wow, what a great idea – today's the 4th of July, U.S.A. firecracker day – Red, White & Blue day! (Wait for it ... Boom! :)

Summer of Monuments
editGood morning Telpardec,
I see you are an active Wikipedian in Kentucky. Thus, I am here to tell you about the "Summer of Monuments" photography effort which began on July 1. We are trying to improve our coverage of Nationally Registered Historic Places, of which many in Kentucky remain undepicted! You can find which places are near you (and which are photographed) using this map tool.
Your user page and recent edits indicate that you are interested in The Bible -- which, I realize, does not necessarily imply that you are interested in churches! But if there is an aspect of history, a work of architecture, a populated area, etc., that you would like to see better documented on Wikipedia I would encourage you to share. Or maybe you know some people you would like to tell about Summer of Monuments. There are prizes for the best three photos, for what it's worth.
I hope you have a happy and fulfilling summer. Monumenteer2014 (talk) 12:23, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
In regard to thanked edit on Web colors
editPlease see the "todo" in this previous edit summary of mine, which is what your edit resolved. I did use Select All, so I was aware of it, but I didn't consider it a high priority because (1) I don't have that much experience with MediaWiki table syntax and (2) the background wasn't technically pure white.
Sorry if this sounds a bit defensive; none of it is meant to diminish the sincerity of the thanks. I just wanted to clarify that I wasn't being sloppy, nor do I intend to be in general. --SoledadKabocha (talk) 19:52, 11 July 2014 (UTC)
- SoledadKabocha, Thanks for the clarification. There is really no need to explain your thanks. Don't spoil the mystery.
Cheers. —Telpardec TALK 06:21, 12 July 2014 (UTC)

J. Hillis Miller, Sr. - Bibliography
edit"Other articles in the series call it Bibliography." Yes, I know, I wrote them, but another editor was demanding that the section headers be changed per WP:FNNR. Made no particular sense to me, but I was trying to avoid an edit war. Cheers. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 22:33, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Dirtlawyer1 and Omnipaedista: Yes, I saw the edit history. (Is the wiki-road bumpy, or do our wiki-cars have square wheels? :) I was about to suggest a further compromise as "Works cited", since we can't use "Further reading" for a section with general references, but I realized the article was part of a series using the same layout, so there is no compelling reason for that article layout to be different.
Cheers. —Telpardec 23:56, 30 September 2014 (UTC)- I never implied that WP:FNNR forces us to choose a specific section title. I just think that when avoiding ambiguity is an option (see WP:FNNR), it should be considered. In any case, I am OK with the "Other articles in the series have..." argument. ----Omnipaedista (talk) 03:40, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

Settings for visual editor
editHi. Thanks for the summary note (Biblical chronology). What setting would I need to change to avoid those <span> things?
I'm not so familiar with the mark-up language. Not sure what span even does. Thanks, ProfGray (talk) 14:24, 1 February 2015 (UTC)
- @ProfGray: This is the first time I have seen something like that and I can't use Visual Editor on my system, so I can't help except to point you to the WP:VisualEditor page, which has a list of editors that may help, and there is a WP:VisualEditor/Feedback page to report problems. Your problem was first identified in August 2014: T71494 VisualEditor: Unnecessary <span>s inserted into articles.

Proposed deletion of "Brotherly love (philosophy)"
editHi Telpardec,
I have proposed deletion of the article Brotherly love (philosophy). Just wanted to give you a ping as the article's creator.
The article Brotherly love (philosophy) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
WP:REDUNDANTFORK. Most of the article is about Christian usage of the term, making it redundant with religious views on love. The extremely brief section on non-Christian applications of the term is just a signpost to the articles agape and phileo.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Mosi Nuru (talk) 18:32, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
