A tag has been placed on on your user page, User:TenFoldResultsMedia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages: user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam and the guidelines on user pages.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page in question and leave a note on this page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Calton | Talk 02:30, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Username

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: appears to be promotional. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

Thank you. Tiptoety talk 03:38, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello, My intent within Wikipedia was not commercial. My apoligies. I can understand how it could have been taken that way. I use TenFoldResultsMedia outside of Wikipedia, sometimes commercially and other times from a neutral journalistic standpoint. I will stop using this name in WikiPedia, and use my less less controversial moniker of RenManJoe. We can delete it, should I delete or should you? If you do delete, can you move my edits on other WikiPedia pages to RenManJoe as well ? Thanks, TenFoldResultsMedia (talk) 05:40, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, there is really no way for me to "delete" your username. But you can always just agree to stop using this account and create one, or use the other account you already have. Your second option is to request a new username. Please let me know if you need any further help. Tiptoety talk 18:30, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • This account has been blocked as it is a role account and violates the username policy.
  • If you have already made edits and wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name you may request a change in username which is quick and easy. To do so, please follow these directions:
    1. Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page.
    2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
    3. Please note, you may only request a name that is not already in use. The account is created upon acceptance – do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change since we can far easier allocate your new name to you, if it is not yet used. Usernames that have already been taken are listed here. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username.
  • Thank you for your understanding. Stifle (talk) 11:03, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
