Big White Wall
editHi TexMurphy I am a bit confused! I tried to put up an article about Big White Wall but I got a speedy deletion because it lacked notability. Although I had 4 independent articles in there (two from the Times, one from Psyblogger, and the other from The IRish Times) all relating to the website? Can you let me know where I went wrong??JulietClearwater (talk) 13:58, 7 February 2008 (UTC) Thanks JC —Preceding unsigned comment added by JulietClearwater (talk • contribs) 13:52, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Funny farm (film poster).jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Funny farm (film poster).jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:03, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Ubisoft already said that Assassin's Creed was going to be a trilogy. General Mannino (talk) 23:23, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, they did, but until they can confirm any information about the name of the game, content, release date, platforms etc, everything else remains speculation. - TexMurphy (talk) 07:59, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Livvakterna_dvd_cover.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Livvakterna_dvd_cover.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 22:17, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Missing in action (film poster).jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:Missing in action (film poster).jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:14, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

editWhat wrong w/ my username Mrs Vulva Frontbottom (talk) 12:00, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
I stumbled across some mention of this article, and saw that you had a discussion with the primary contributor. As you had initially requested resolution of the WP:N issue, then dropped it, I was wondering if it had already been taken to AFD? You mention possibly taking it on the talk page, but the standard tag for articles that have survived an AFD is not there, so I'm guessing it never went that far ... but I wanted to ask to see if there's something further that I wasn't seeing. --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 00:50, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
- User [user:69.109.112.226] has used Wikipedia for his campaign of petty harassment. All controversial content was voluntarily and fully removed, yet this user continues undoing his original accusatory and defamatory talk page comments AFTER the matter has been addressed. There is no point in hijacking talk pages for a personal agenda and there is no purpose in preserving a matter that has been fully dealt with. This talk pages should be reserved for a real discussion on the article topic. Therefore, those type of unbeneficial comments do not belong on talk pages. I ask you allow me to delete them because they do not belong there. Otherwise those article talk pages will become a bickering ground and that is not what wikipedia is about. "Jains" page
editI noticed that in 2007 you warned user Deepm about adding material to Wikipedia promoting the company Jain Irrigation Systems. Perhaps you may want to take a look at the page Jains and user Ashijain. It seems suspicious to me that anyone consulting WP on "Jains" first lands on a page whose sole purpose for existing seems to be to present a link to an article on a company. There is already a dab page Jain_(disambiguation). I would say "Jains" should simply redirect there. What do you think? A second opinion would be helpful.

Unreferenced BLPs
editHello TexMurphy! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 139 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Share al jazeer
editBelow is the comment I left on the talk page Share al jazeera.
"It looks pretty obvious that this article is misnamed, so I'm proposing a move to Sharq al Jazeera (Qatar). Although I want to assume good faith, I have to wonder if the title typo is intended to dodge notability issues, as it temporarily has, in any case. The article was created June of 2009, the only ref cited is a dead link, and anyone browsing who wasn't looking specifically for this company might assume it was some sort of page to facilitate the al Jazeera news service site. I find it interesting to read about a marine construction contractor in Qatar, but that's just me. ...it reads like a classified ad, which is what it seems to be."
I believe that's why your proposed quick delete was never acted on. There is a Qatar Yellow Pages ad for the company, but user:Aceraspire5560(talk|contribs) [who created the article] has never had any other WP activity that I can find, at least in that incarnation. I agree with your assessment, and will proceed accordingly. Thought you would want to know how this user gamed the system and dodged your quick-delete proposal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ragityman (talk • contribs) 15:15, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification
editHi. When you recently edited Android (robot), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mechanical (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of THE PESHTAMAL
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. CeeGee (talk) 13:52, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
