Replied. Why have you come over from German wikipedia to moan? Dr. Blofeld White cat 10:00, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- Don't worry I will leave again. I simply found nonsense stubs in en Gisela Kessler, Christian v. Ditfurth and Kersten Artus who are on my german watchlist. --Textkorrektur (talk) 10:05, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
I don't want you to leave. In fact I would warmly welcome you to help correct any of the articles and translate them. People like you are greatly needed in this respect. What I don't like though is when you come over and start trying to belittle our editors and make out that english wikipedia is "a nonsense" and that German wikipedia is superior. That is a particularly arrogant view and unneccessary. We are trying our best to blue link a mass of missing articles to actually improve our coverage of German politicians and notable people in the long term. Dr. Blofeld White cat 10:51, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- Please correct my simple English in Kersten Artus. --Textkorrektur (talk) 10:52, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
Your edits to Artus are greatly appreciated seriously. I would warmly welcome you to correct and expand an y of the nonsense stubs. You see the task is really to blue link the articles using categories from German wikipedia. We have compiled lists from German wikipedia categories, I'm very sorry if we mixed in some writers but the goal really is to get them started. We know they are very lacking and incomplete to start with but it at least gives us something to build on and ensure they are not nonsense and it is exactly people like you we count on to build these articles up who know about the subject. Sure I fully understand that membership of the party may not be first on the list of things to write about a writer but it isn't my fault that the categories on German wikipedia include these people with the real politicians. Do you see now how the articles were created using your categories? If the party is not notable to the person on German wikipedia I would strongly suggest removing the categories.
I would also be very appreciative if you did find the nonsense stubs and allow us to correct them. What I don't like though is to be insulted. Dr. Blofeld White cat 10:59, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- That was not my idea, very sorry for that. To explain: One sentence stubs are not exepted in deWP especcially if a stub about living people emphasize minor aspects which give a faulse idea of the person. See Talk:Christian v. Ditfurth whom I know personally. --Textkorrektur (talk) 11:11, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
Well in general they are not usually accepted here either. Honestly we don't like stubs any more than you do on German wikipedia but the community is aware that we are making the much needed steps to begin transferring articles. Stubs however ugly are important for progression. If Christian v. Ditfurth was not a member please can you remove the highly misleading category on German wiki? I think you should do something about the problem on German wiki to avoid placing non politicians in the same category with the others. A category for members should really be seperate from the actual politicians of the party, don't you agree? Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:10, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
I've aded an image to Kersten Artus. This is exactly how we want all of the articles to look minimum eventually. Dr. Blofeld White cat 12:22, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed. You have an excellent command of English (if I may say so), and good translations from German are desperately needed. I know all of these stubs are fairly rudimentary, but they are a start, and hopefully to soon be expanded upon. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. --User:AlbertHerring Io son l'orecchio e tu la bocca: parla! 13:35, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
Agreed, I've started Hoimar von Ditfurth, care to help translate it? I can see he was anotable physician and journalist who was acclaimed in television. Dr. Blofeld White cat 16:56, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- Of course I will but not before the second week of August, sorry. --Textkorrektur (talk) 10:36, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
