Regarding your comment and incivility on my user talk page

edit

It seems to me that you are acting in an uncivil manner. Please remain civil and don't resort to making personal attacks or instigate edit wars. --ForbiddenWord 18:05, 6 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove warnings from your talk page or replace them with offensive content. Removing or maliciously altering warnings from your talk page will not remove them from the page history. If you continue to remove or vandalize warnings from your talk page, you will lose your privilege of editing your talk page. Thanks. --ForbiddenWord 20:20, 6 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

(It's my userpage, and I will write anything I goddamn-well like here. Suck it up or don't, but I don't have to be civil to you here. The idea that I have been uncivil to you on *your* user page is not only laughable, but also the epitome of uncivil. You're trying to start shit.

And if I wanted an edit war with you, I'd simply configure a bot to nuke every edit and comment you make, unstoppably and unblockably, through anonymous proxies. You'd best find another windmill to tilt at, Chuckles, because paranoia and childish whining is ill-suited to anyone who would be an editor either as a profession or as a hobby.

I have the privilege of keeping this page, not you. You are the one being uncivil, not I.)Tfg 20:37, 6 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Warning you about violating Wikipedia policies is uncivil now? Show me in the Civility guidelines where it says that and I'll apologize. Your incivility to me of telling me to "fucking google it" is the reason I cited the policy on your page. Additionally, I'd like to remind you of Wikipedia's policy on threats of harassment and wikistalking (subsection "Threats" under "Types of harassment"), just for future reference. Thanks, --ForbiddenWord 14:47, 7 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

My ironymeter just hit the red. And exploded. Tfg 04:48, 9 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

One Good Suggestion

edit

One good suggestion -- one merely implied by FW -- is that one should properly have two accounts on Wikipedia, one for substantive edits and contributions, and one for nitpicking, passive-aggressive netcopping and other such assholery. So that's what this account is for: the latter. I'm going to contribute with a new account, much as FW has clearly created the FW account to avoid backlash against his contributions. Since I haven't engaged in any kind of "wikistalking", he must have been 'victimized' by it in the recent past. And since the FW account makes no contributions of content to the Wiki, it all comes together into a neat little pile.

Although I've narrowed that other account down to a mere four possible users, all of whom have made edits to articles relating to PERL and other programming languages and all of whom have been involved in edit wars during March and April, 2006. Interestingly, providing that information here would not actually violate any of the rules, because it isn't defined as personal information under the guidelines. Of course, I could be wrong. But it's definitely not a rules violation to post such information off the Wiki. Say, in the comments of blogs where users have written about FW's unique style of editing, any of which can be found via a judicious FGI (a term which, regardless of how thin one's skin is, never amounts to uncivility or a personal attack). In response to my talk page

In the effort of trying to assuage this dispute, I myself am going to go searching on google to see if I can't find a good source for your contribution. I can only assume that you're trying to work in good faith, but you have said some mean things to me before, and in the name of things working out I'm going to try to make it better. However, it bears saying that more information is not necessarily better. For example, if you have the same amount of useful information, but a ton of garbage (like "LMTO", "OSAG9", etc.) thrown in, you have to sift out and find what's good. The current page seems to be a huge target for every anonymous editor who wants to create an acronym. I had never heard yours before you added it, but now that I realize it's more pervasive than I thought, I'm going to see if I can't find some goodness on it. Sorry about being so cranky, by the way. :\ --ForbiddenWord 13:59, 20 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's all good. It's just that it's been deleted so many times -- and I know that it's a valid contribution -- that I'm firmly in the mindset of "it's gonna stay here if it kills me." Tfg

internet slang

If you want to help with the list of internet slang, I've got a list of links a mile long to add. All I have to do is verify they are internet based. You can check them here: User:Rayc/Flik--Rayc 23:09, 20 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
