Welcome Tfnicholson!
I'm Walter Görlitz, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
Associated act
edit{{Infobox musical artist}} has the documentation of how the parameters are used. Associated acts are "for professional relationships with other musicians or bands that are significant and notable to this artist's career". There is no way Webb should be removed, although Caedmon's Call makes sense as a long-time co-writer. There is no such association when a musician records another musican's work. Bob Dylan and the Beatles would be associated with almost everyone in that case. Discuss the association in the article and then you don't need a source in the infobox. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:45, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- One thing further, please stop using dodgy sources. If there's no author, don't use it. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:54, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Tfnicholson. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Sandra McCracken, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. I thought your name looked familiar. Confirmed on Facebook. You're associated with McCracken and should 1) declare your association as discussed on the page linked above, 2) carefully weigh your edits and, 3) possibly only request changes via the article's talk page. April 2019
editHello, I'm Walter Görlitz. I noticed that you recently removed content from Sandra McCracken without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.
