Hello ThWiki1910,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username MPGuy2824 and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I have tagged an article that you started, Mosolovo for deletion, because it is unnecessary per one of the criteria at WP:G14.

If you feel that the page shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|MPGuy2824}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Duplicate word

edit

Hi ThWiki1910 - you have repeatedly add a double a ("is a a rural locality") in your recent articles, such as Yasny, Kursk Oblast, Bogatyr, Kursk Oblast, Beryozovets, Konyshyovsky District, Kursk Oblast and several others. I know how easy it is to copy-paste the same mistake into multiple artilces, but if you could please correct this before copy-pasting it again, it would save me some clearing up. - Many thanks - Arjayay (talk) 11:54, 4 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Just to add to what Arjayay is saying, we have a policy on bot-like editing even when it is done by hand (see WP:MEATBOT). The TL;DR is it is best practise to seek a consensus before e.g., going through a database and creating stub-articles directed to selos at e.g., WP:RUSSIA or another relevant wiki project. FOARP (talk) 10:52, 4 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
The problem that Arjayay mentioned was " is a a " (double a – my simple mistake) and it was fixed immediately. If you have other concerns then this thread is inappropriate. ThWiki1910 (talk) 10:15, 4 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Autopatrolled granted

edit

Hi ThWiki1910, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! – Joe (talk) 13:46, 5 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kosinova, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Oktyabrsky District. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:09, 23 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Sadowsky

edit

Please note that disambiguation pages like SadowskySadowy are meant to help readers find a specific existing article quickly and easily. For that reason, they have guidelines that are different from articles. From the Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts you should:

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry that mentions the title being disambiguated
  • Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references - Wikipedia is not a business directory

I couldn't find any mention in English Wikipedia for the three red links on Sadowsky, so I added links to Polish Wikipedia - not an ideal solution since English readers won't be able to read the articles, but better than a bare red link. Leschnei (talk) 12:53, 30 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Leschnei: Hi. I don't know why I am the addressee of your post, since I never had anything to do with the Sadowsky. I just made Sadowy. Polish surname is only "Sadowski", and Russian (in transcription) - only "Sadovsky". Sadowsky is a strange American mix.
According to me:
• Sadowsky → Sadowsky Guitars Limited
• Sadowsky → disambiguation (surname: Adam Sadowsky, George Sadowsky, Michael Sadowsky; also: Sadowsky Guitars Limited)
ThWiki1910 (talk) 13:59, 30 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, that was a typo. The comment above applies to Sadowy. I think my computer auto-corrected! Leschnei (talk) 21:54, 30 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
