Disambiguation link notification for March 11
editHi. When you recently edited London Southend Airport, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page ILS (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited London Southend Airport, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Embankment (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

editUsername question
editHello. I'm an administrator, responding to a small concern raised by someone today at WP:UAA that your account might be operating in contravention of our username policy. I'm not at all confident that it is, so please accept my apologies for the intrusion. I just feel I need to ask you'd mind clarifying things a bit for us? I realise that this account has been operating for quite some years - mostly to update information on London Southend Airport and related topics. I also realise that Thames Gateway is a geographic region (which you might live in or happen to love), but that it could also relate to the similarly-sounding south essex partnership which formed in 2002 and disappeared around 2014, or perhaps some other body or organisation that either has represented or promoted the area.
To avoid any doubt, would you mind just clarifying whether this is pure coincidence with a totally lack of any connection (as I suspect it is), or if the account has either had multiple individuals editing from it, or has edited on behalf of any organisation? Just a short note of clarification would help, either way. I did look back for signs of any past discussion that might have been removed, but couldn't see anything. Had you thought to have put something up on your user page about your interests or rationale in editing I might not have needed to have asked in this way, and simply read it and moved on. You aren't obliged to put anything on your userpage at all (unless you do have a WP:COI), but I do now feel obligated to ask and to seek an answer either way. Hoping to hear back from you soon. Thanks ever so much, Nick Moyes (talk) 23:27, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
Nick, I can confirm that I am an individual only, not posting on behalf of any company or organisation. I have lifestyle interests in both aviation/airports generally and the the southern Essex area. I am retired. No-one else has access to my user-name/password, nor do I give it out to anyone, Thanks. --Thames Gateway (talk) 08:41, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
- OK, thank you for responding and taking my request so politely. I suggest you leave this post on your talk page, which will let anyone else be able to check for themselves without bothering you again. Cheers, Nick Moyes (talk) 15:29, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
