editIn a 2007 arbitration case, administrators were given the power to impose discretionary sanctions on any user working on articles concerning the Balkans. Before any such sanctions are imposed, editors are to be put on notice of the decision. This notice is not to be taken as implying any inappropriate behaviour on your part, merely to warn you of the Arbitration Committee's decision. Thank you. Please don't change the the name on Republic Of Macedonia if you wish to debated the page's name please go to Talk:Republic of Macedonia/name. You can also visit this page for policy on the name of this page. Samuell Lift me up or put me down 02:40, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- sorry that the above message is your first direct contact with other wikipedians. Please be careful when editing on balkan-related articles, since they are very controversial. Any change on controversial articles ought to be discussed first on the talk page with other editors, and some editors always avoid controversial articles to avoid this sort of situations. (Notice that there has been a lot of discussion to reach a consensus on what name to use, so changing that name again could get you blocked, independentely of whether you discussed it first or not!) --Enric Naval (talk) 09:33, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
