Welcome
editWelcome!
Hello, That Amazing Guy, and welcome to Wikipedia! I have noticed that you are fairly new! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. I also see that you have an interest in the use of images and/or photos on Wikipedia.
Did you know that:
- Wikipedia has a very stringent image use policy?
- Most images from Flickr, online news websites, and other web sources are copyrighted?
- Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously?
- Freely-licensed images may be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, a central location for images, from where they can be used on Wikipedia and many other wikis?
- We recommend that new users use our "files for upload" process - at least until you get the hang of things?
If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

couple things
editHi That Amazing Guy. Couple things:
- Thank you for Thermal Man. Never heard of him (it?), but he (it?) rocks. And it's a great article.
- I reviewed your DYK. It's a fine article, but I had a quibble with the hook, so I changed it. Is that OK with you I hope?
- You "thanked" me for my edit to Thermal Man. How did you do that? I mean, is there a button that lets you do that or something? I can't find anything like that. Herostratus (talk) 04:35, 23 December 2013 (UTC)
- @Herostratus: I am a newbie, there shall be no debate about that. I don't really know the Did You Know system well; just read a couple of the basic rules. I am of course OK with your constructive input! :-) I don't know about your browser, but mine shows a "Thank" button next to your Contributions button when you compare diffs. Cheers! THAT AMAZING GUY (Give your friendly bro a love note or two!) 04:38, 23 December 2013 (UTC)
- Also, I prefer not to give robots or any other non-human organisms a "gender" if one is not explicitly stated. "It" is safest for the Thermal Man's case. That is my opinion, though. THAT AMAZING GUY (Give your friendly bro a love note or two!) 08:58, 23 December 2013 (UTC)

Why
edit@John Reaves: Why do people turn to the dark side? Because it pays dirt being a good guy, as far as Wikipedia is concerned. I created useful and informative articles and they get swiftly speedy deleted in just a few clicks. This is why the number of editors actually editing here is dwindling. The sock policy is bollocks, though I must admit it was fun getting warmed up. I'll see you soon. You continue your excellent job of blocking sockpuppets and whatnot. :-) THAT AMAZING GUY (Give your friendly bro a love note or two!) 05:52, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
@Malik Shabazz: Hey buddy, you too. Why don't you also speedy delete Thermal Man and Hellcow? Go on, speedy delete them because they were created by a sock! :-) THAT AMAZING GUY (Give your friendly bro a love note or two!) 05:56, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
@That Amazing Guy: I'm disappointed and sad. You made me waste a lot of time working on your article. Now I have to nominate it for deletion. I only have so much time left on this earth. Fooling me into wasting any of it on your shenanigans isn't very nice.
Please go away. Get another hobby. There are many things to do in this life. Find one that better suits your proclivities and doesn't make other people sad and upset. Please. Herostratus (talk) 06:30, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
- @Herostratus: "Shenanigans"? None of my edits here were disruptive. In fact, you would have praised me for being such a constructive editor had I not been exposed as a sockpuppet. This is but an adversity decreed by fate. If you really treasure your time here, stop editing Wikipedia and go spend more time with your family. But whether you will or not, only Lord Destiny knows. :-) THAT AMAZING GUY (Give your friendly bro a love note or two!) 10:37, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
- Enh. I looked at your ANI thread and it sure seems like a lot of people are down on you. Be that as it may, it is what it is. I'm sympathetic to your general situation because I think that life is essentially a joke, have occasionally enjoyed sarcastic trolling at other websites (but not this one) and enjoy writing oddball articles on occasion. On the other hand, a bit of self-reflection might be in order. When a lot of people are mad at you, it might be time to look in the mirror.
- None of that matters now though. What I'd suggest is that you take your talents to a comic book wiki (there must be one, probably several), or something. Let them have the benefits of your work. Why work at a place where you're not wanted. If you really want to remain here, use the standard procedures -- wait a year and apply for reinstatement, appeal to ArbCom, or whatever the procedure is.
- The governance here is fragile enough, so it's important that it be followed, or the project will fail. That means being a man about it and taking your lumps, appealing to the extent possible, and giving up if your appeals fail. Editors ignoring sanctions is a dagger to the heart of the Wikipedia. Please don't do it. Herostratus (talk) 00:49, 30 December 2013 (UTC)
Come on Bonkers, just go to your original account and ask for unblock. If you use the standard offer youre probably gonna be unblocked after waiting a while. Using socks will only further you not being unblocked. Beerest 2 talk 22:37, 30 December 2013 (UTC)
- The damage has already been done. I think of this as a lesson on impermanence. Disincentivised have i become and I personally feel trying to salvage things won't change impressns. But fate isn't too interested in giving me a reincarnation now; so be it. THAT AMAZING GUY (Give your friendly bro a love note or two!) 04:29, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
