Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Samina Khalid.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Samina Khalid.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Johnj1995 (talk) 04:06, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable non-free use File:Samina Khalid Ghurki & Benazir Bhutto.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Samina Khalid Ghurki & Benazir Bhutto.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Johnj1995 (talk) 04:13, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

Hello, The0bvioustruth. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Samina Khalid Ghurki, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. —Saqib (talk I contribs) 11:24, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

I urge you to please hold off on removing maintenance templates until you've addressed the issues. If you keep doing that, it might come off as disruptive editing. This is a BLP, and there's a lot of WP:OR which is a clear violation of BLP policies. Let's try to avoid an edit war and discuss it on the talk page instead.Saqib (talk I contribs) 17:13, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I have no idea what you're saying. I'm just trying to follow the instructions diplayed in the maintenance messages. I can't even find the talk page. Can you please hold off for an hour so l can atleast copy the content i need? The0bvioustruth (talk) 17:31, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Just make sure that at some point, you answer the questions: what is your connection to Ghurki, and have you been paid by her staff or the party to edit her article? —C.Fred (talk) 19:41, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Lol no, I haven't been paid or anything. Wikipedia can be edited by anyone and is rarely considered the source of truth so why would someone pay to upload a bunch of pictures of themselves? Frankly I did just that, added 4 pictures. Just like everyone has pictures of themselves on their wikipedia pages. Wikipedia is insanely overwhelming anyway.   Hello, I'm Peaceray. I noticed that you recently removed content from Samina Khalid Ghurki without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Peaceray (talk) 21:22, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Samina Khalid Ghurki, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Peaceray (talk) 21:23, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

As WP:BRD suggests, please explain your removal of citations and cited material on the article talk page. Please also consider the WP:VNT essay. Peaceray (talk) 21:24, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

This is your only warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia again, as you did at Samina Khalid Ghurki, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Peaceray (talk) 21:33, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

I removed the content because some saqib from the "admin" keeps messaging me to remove it. Wikipedia is insane and overly complicated for no reason, especially for someone just trying to upload a picture. The0bvioustruth (talk) 21:49, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I've improved the BLP. Hopefully, you won't mess it up again.Saqib (talk I contribs) 23:25, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
