editHello, I'm John from Idegon. Your recent edit to the page Lansing, Michigan appears to have added incorrect information, so it has been removed for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. "state capital" is not a settlement type. John from Idegon (talk) 00:51, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- @John from Idegon: then you may want to remove that from Phoenix's article.--TheCaliBook (talk) 00:58, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- I could care less about Arizona. You'll find there's lots of crap in Wikipedia. Existence of poor quality material in one article is not justification for poor material in another. The place to look for what should be in an article on a community in the US is WP:USCITY. Instruction (although not US specific) for the infobox can be found at Template:infobox settlement. Settlement type refers to the legal incorporation (or lack of same) of the community. In Michigan, that would be an either/or - village or city. Its possible that under Arizona law, there is some legal difference between the capital and other cities. In most states there isn't. Thanks. Hey, welcome to Wikipedia. If you need any help, hollar. I edit mostly US settlement articles and US high school articles, but I'm quite familiar with most policy questions. Happy editing! John from Idegon (talk) 02:44, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
- Haha oh wow! Well thanks for the instruction and thanks for welcoming me @John from Idegon:--TheCaliBook (talk) 16:31, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
