If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 16:01, 5 September 2013 (UTC)Better source request for File:Rolling-Stones-Rain-Fall-Down.jpg
editThanks for your upload to Wikipedia:
You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 21:05, 5 September 2013 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Relapse Refill.jpg)
editThanks for uploading File:Relapse Refill.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Werieth (talk) 20:53, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
The article Unclassified (Adult Swim album) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable album, sources are primary
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:LoneSurvivor Book.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:LoneSurvivor Book.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 18:14, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
Ultimate Guitar
editHey, just wanted to let you know that I removed the stuff you recently added at The Doomstar Requiem, because Ultimate Guitar is not recognised as a reliable source, according to Wikipedia:ALBUM/SOURCES#Sources to avoid. I agree that some more genres should be added, but we need to find better sources than UG. Anyway, just wanted to let you know why I removed those additions. MrMoustacheMM (talk) 21:38, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
- I remembered that one of those sites weren't reliable but I couldn't find the wiki page that had the list. Thanks for posting it. TheDethklokGuy (talk) 23:32, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
Template edits
editHey, just in case you're wondering what all my recent template edits were about, at the bottom of Dethklok there was an issue with one of the templates showing some template documentation (the info on hiding/collapsing, etc). Anyway, after messing around with some of the templates, it seems I fixed whatever the issue was (looks like a missing "noinclude" tag in Template:Brendon Small). I don't think anything I did caused any problems, but if you find any issues from my edits, please go ahead and fix them. MrMoustacheMM (talk) 21:02, 17 June 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for catching that! I didn't notice that "}}" error I left on the Metalocalypse template. TheDethklokGuy (talk) 23:10, 17 June 2014 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for August 29
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Brendon Small, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ron Lynch. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:19, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
Non-free rationale for File:Alpha House title card.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Alpha House title card.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 09:28, 5 December 2014 (UTC)
Nomination of Backwoods (cigar brand) for deletion
editA discussion is taking place as to whether the article Backwoods (cigar brand) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Backwoods (cigar brand) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. DGG ( talk ) 09:30, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
April 2015
editHello, I'm Cyphoidbomb. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Metalocalypse, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Diffs: [1] Future events must be sourced per WP:CRYSTAL Cyphoidbomb (talk) 00:26, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
- If you have a dispute with content that's added, you can add a 'citation needed' tag. You don't get to undo the entire edit and lecture me about adding a source.TheDethklokGuy (talk) 03:06, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
- That's a complete deflection of responsibility. WP:BURDEN places the burden of sourcing onto you, the contributor, not on other editors to slap CN templates hoping that someone will source the content. And WP:CRYSTAL contraventions will almost always result in your edit being reverted if there is a lack of sources. As for your reply to my pissy edit summary here, I deserved that, your edit was better, and I apologize. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:44, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
