ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:53, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

Talk:David Paulides

"Are you trolling" isn't much of a PA--please leave it be. And same with their talk page: I am looking into it. Drmies (talk) 22:27, 2 February 2021 (UTC)

@Drmies: I would believe that it would still be a violation of WP:AGF, as it assumes that, rather than simply trying to ask for sources for their opinion, it simply assumes that I am here just to troll him. But I'm not going to edit war over it; same with the talk page too, which I left behind after the ANI notice. Regards, User:TheDragonFire300. (Contact me | Contributions). 22:46, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
It is not the kind of thing we usually redact, or block for. But I've already blocked the editor for their other violations. Thank you. If there is an ANI thread, you can close that. Drmies (talk) 22:48, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
@Drmies: There was an ANI thread, indeed. If there are no objections, I or another editor will close it. The NPA "vio" was on top of the main vio, which was the FORUM posts and advocacy of original research. Regards, User:TheDragonFire300. (Contact me | Contributions). 22:57, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
That entire section was some complete BS, from the original editor and the IP. Sgerbic, things might not have gone this far if you had simply removed the post when you saw it. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 23:12, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
I'm not following this conversation at all. Is this about the Private Investigator post? I'm not the "remover" type of person, I'm more of a let's talk about this and hope that they will understand the rules of Wikipedia and help the improve it.Sgerbic (talk) 23:23, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
@Sgerbic: I understand that approach. After all, it's always possible that they'll eventually understand our policies and guidelines, and will be welcomed here. However, the user suffered from a huge case of WP:IDHT. Had I realised earlier and been more stringent about it, I might also have blanked it without discussion when it became apparent.
