Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Hurricane Jeanne, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Toast (talk) 12:09, 4 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Re:Unar64P

edit

I just wanted to let you know that your actions on the talk page and user page of User:Unar64P were not appropriate. While, admittedly, their edits have not been of good quality, creating a new user page to "scare [them] for vandalism" and this edit would probably be considered violations of the policy against personal attacks. Edits made in good faith, even if disruptive, are not vandalism. Vandalism means deliberate disruption. This is not to say that disruption, even if well-intended can't have consequences, but that doesn't make it vandalism. TornadoLGS (talk) 03:17, 1 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Drmies (talk) 17:04, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the reply, i'll try my best! - TheEasternEditer (talk) 17:14, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
OK. For an administrator, a decent edit summary can mean the difference between one party being blocked or the editor. I warned the IP, by the way, since they're really bad at explaining. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 17:16, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:37, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Edit summary re Solar eclipse of April 8, 2024

edit

Two questions about your edit summary on this edit where you added back your image. First, how could this image have been included "since hours of the article's creation" when the article was created back in 2008? And even if true, how does the speed at which an image gets added to an article have anything to do with the question of whether the image is suitable to be included? --ZimZalaBim talk 18:51, 10 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

I mean't hours after images of the eclipse started to be added on the article, my bad. D.P.K (talk) 19:45, 10 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
You'll also notice that I just removed this image as there was little need to have two images of essentially the same cloudy, distant view from the same general area (New Jersey). The other image that remains has higher resolution. Feel free to discuss on the talk page there if you feel otherwise. --ZimZalaBim talk 23:01, 10 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Blaze Wolf. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Hurricane Milton, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ― Blaze WolfTalkblaze__wolf 19:00, 8 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

No problem, thanks for leaving a message! Dev (talk) 19:06, 8 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Of course! Also, WP:CUSTOMSIG/P asks that your signature make your username easily identifiable, which yours currently does not, although it is not required. ― Blaze WolfTalkblaze__wolf 19:09, 8 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
