Orphaned non-free media (Image:Secondcoming.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:Secondcoming.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:47, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Fair use helpme question
editHi. The images you have been uploading and calling fair use are not fair use at all. Fair use refers to a legal distinction in which an image can be fairly used for a particular purpose for various reasons, such as that there is no free equivalent and can't be, it's not likely to replace the original market role of the media, the image is of lesser quality than the original and so on. Please see Wikipedia:Non-free content. In order to successfully employ an image as fair use a the page must provide a proper fair use rationale, specific to its intended use and must provide a separate fair use rationale for each such use, i.e., for each article it is to be added to. Please see Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline. What you have been uploading are images which you say you have dispensation from the copyright holder to add. That's not fair use, but permission of a copyright holder, and we can't use such images. The reason is that our content must be free to reuse under the GFDL--the license our pages are under. An image that has permission of the copyright holder does not allow its reuse for others and is thus a GFDL violation. Proper fair use is a specific carve out from this requirement and is the only way we allow non-free content to be placed on Wikipedia. Any image stating that the copyright holder allows its use here will be deleted. To sum up, all images used on Wikipedia must be released under a free license such as the GFDL, be in the public domain, or must have a proper fair use purpose with a fair use rationale covering that purpose.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 14:12, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Christine Kittrell
editA tag has been placed on Christine Kittrell requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. noq (talk) 16:38, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
Hi. Thanks for creating the article about Sly Stone's new album.
I was wondering why the article title has the word "and" instead of an ampersand (&). Is it a technical limitation of the Wiki software? Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 22:06, 17 October 2011 (UTC)
- Hi. I don't know why it did that, but I moved the article. Thanks again for writing it. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 20:47, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Familyandfriendscover.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Familyandfriendscover.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:12, 17 October 2011 (UTC)

The article Rip It Up (Little Richard album) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails every criteria of WP:NALBUM.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
