Re: Leo
editWhile I understand where you're coming from, it's better to stick with the terminology used by the developers and Harada himself. Ambiguous has very different connotations, whereas the character's "unknown" gender is only unknown to us as the audience. A better example of a character with an ambiguous gender would probably be D'Eon in the Fate/Grand Order video game, where even the characters around D'Eon question what their gender is exactly. Does that make some sense? Kung Fu Man (talk) 22:07, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
- I had looked up what Harada posted on Twitter back then and had it in my head that Harada did NOT clearly say what gender Leo was back then. But now that I've officially seen that Harada did say that the gender is unknown, I accept this on Leo's side, although ambiguous is still much more accurate because Leo represents all genders in my eyes.
- Anyway, you should take all Harada's posts with a grain of salt, because not everything Harada writes is true, because he jokes or lies from time to time, which can also be the case with Leo's gender! So it could also be possible that Harada only said this because he was asked over and over again what gender Leo is. Therefore, he may have been annoyed by this and confirmed it as unknown.
- Examples of such things include the one about Zafina's nationality. Harada once tweeted that she is from the Middle East (later that she is from Egypt) and ‘HE’ is from Egypt (according to the Google translation). And if the translator has translated it correctly, Harada was joking that he is of course from that country. Besides, it was officially confirmed that Zafina's nationality is unknown anyway.
- He also once said for Tekken 7 that after Season Pass 2 it would be over and all returning characters like Lei or Marduk would be free, but in the end he was just lying. Of course, his decision may have been changed over the months with more Season Passes, which is why two more came afterwards.
- Another example is now with Heihachi's status. It was officially said by Harada in an interview that he was officially dead. Now with the third DLC with Heihachi and his trailer, we don't know if this was just a lie and Heihachi is still alive after all. Again, of course, it could just be non-canon and it's just for the trailer and non-canon content because not all content in the main page is equally canon, some is even non-canon, for example some ending videos like the one of Wang from Tekken 6 where he kind of dies at the end. Or the guest characters Geese and Noctis and their little video clips of the other characters are non-canon.
- Even if none of this has anything to do with the confirmation of Leo's gender, these are still small examples that you shouldn't immediately believe everything Harada writes or sometimes says on Twitter and should take it with a grain of salt. Of course, this can also be serious about Leo's gender, but the confirmation should be viewed with a little scepticism. Nevertheless, I now accept the official and current confirmation with the gender, even if I classify Leo as ambiguous.
- I hope you also understand what I mean by Harada's confirmations. And then we have to remove the category "LGBT and video games" because we don't know what gender Leo is, so we don't know whether Leo belongs to the LGBT+ community. TheKerberos01 (talk) 23:24, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
Character appearances
editBro I think the article is in bad condition and character appearances table make it more worse as it is so long. Maybe we can retain the major table which is "main series" and remove other minor tables. What do you think? I'm sorry for being rude by the way :) Kazama16 (talk) 18:09, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
