Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to List of electronic laboratory notebook software packages. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 15:00, 1 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

List of electronic laboratory notebook software packages

edit

Hello. Your recent edit to List of electronic laboratory notebook software packages appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 15:01, 1 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Arjayay. I added an entry to a list of 7 other entries. Three of them don't have a pre-existing Wikipedia article, thus are not notable in this sense. Two of the other entries have articles, which with are flagged as maybe not notable. Applying these rules would empty the list. It seems, that these rules have been added after the list was created. As also the other list of the article would need refinement. TheMerrx (talk) 18:12, 1 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi TheMerrx, I have removed the other three entries in that table without articles and will look at the other table tomorrow. - Arjayay (talk) 18:18, 1 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
It wasn't my intention to cripple the list... I just wanted to add an entry, which previously had an article and is currently moved to draft space. TheMerrx (talk) 18:37, 1 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
